About the host
Hosted by Emily Berg

I live and run a small hobby farm in the Duluth area. I spent many years in Crosslake making memories with my family.
Why they chose this property
My parents bought the house way back in 2003. Back then it was the only house on the street and the whole area was surrounded by thick woods. It's a wonderful area that allows for leisurely walks and bike rides to town without having to go on highway 3.
What makes this property unique
This house is a great place. Even though it's not on a lake it's spacious and close to everything. The house may look small but it's over 2,000sf. The large basement offers a naturally cool retreat during hot summer days. The extra large garage offers a great gathering place for meals with many people or for small parties.
While you're here you get to enjoy being secluded in the woods and surrounded by wildlife. If you're quiet you'll be able to watch a herd of deer wander through the back yard in the afternoon and sometimes even the front yard. You can enjoy a beer on the front deck and watch the chipmunks play in the front yard and on the wood pile. Toss them some scraps and watch them chitter away running around in excitement. Watch dragonflies zoom around you scooping up and protecting you from mosquitoes. Relax by the fire with your friends and family after a day at the beach or a day on the golf course. Look up at the stars and maybe even see the aurora. Lake homes are over rated and over priced. Enjoy your time here and feel at home.
