Perched on the top floor of our restored downtown heritage property (1893), the Polonnaruwa Loft offers a subtle nod to our memories of visits to Sri Lanka with a bohemian design.

Located in the middle of the city centre, the walk-up space is across the street from our favourite restaurants, a 2-minute walk to the Avon Theatre, & a 5 minute stroll to the banks of the Avon River

In addition to the private loft, you will have access to free laundry located in the 3rd floor common area.

The apartment was very nice. It is on the third floor of an older building that has had a very recent renovation. Everything was very modern and clean. The wifi worked well but I actually got better speed with 5G cellular. We didn't use the kitchen but it appeared to have everything needed to cook meals. There are plenty of restaurants and shops in easy walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect locarion for shopping, food, and theatre.

Property was clean and has been renovated relatively recently. Parking was about 2 blocks away, very convenient for being in a city. Quiet property, very comfortable bed. Great communication with the host. The only checkout cleaning request was to put damp towels in the bathtub. Easy-Peasy, especially compared to some ridiculous lists I've seen elsewhere. I would definitely stay here again, but with all the good shopping and eating, I have to pay off my credit card first! :)

Be prepared for 43 steps to unit. Contrary to listing there is NO dishwasher's, NO dining “table” ( only small island with backless metal stools) no toaster for morning toast; minimal kitchen supplies (no napkins, no foil/plastic wrap) no bowl for salad, no dish draining rack; one dish towel; metal drinking glasses. There was a nice assortment of soaps. Bed pushed against the wall access from one side only; no chairs in living room. One sofa and bean bag chair (from the 60’s). Great large screen tv Bathroom presented safety concern the steep sided tub had a very slippery bottom and no rubber mat therefore had to place towel in tub for safety. Also no safety grab handle to exit tub safely No shelves in bathroom for toiletries and no dresser/shelf in bedroom for personal items All together a minimalistic experience

This room was perfect for a couple spending a theatre weekend in Stratford. It was clean, had everything we needed, and was located in the middle of everything. We walked to restaurants and theatres. The only potential issue (not for us, but maybe for older people) is that there are a lot of stairs to reach the apartment on the top floor.
