One of a kind, mountain top cabin with epic views of Mt. Blanca, Colorado's 4th highest summit. Enjoy a quiet retreat with views that go on for days! A well stocked kitchen for all of your cooking needs, comfy living room, large deck, & outdoor shower complete this beautiful getaway. Mountain Home Reservoir is minutes away from the Casita! Sand Dunes National Park is 35 miles away.

The cabin sleeps 4 with one queen bed downstairs & twin trundle bed in the loft-perfect for a couple or family of 4.

Guests have access to entire Casita and 11 acre property. There is another VRBO property on site, "La Blanca Vista Lodge" that sleeps 6. Renting both properties is an option for bigger groups!

Please know that the Lodge may be booked during your stay. Other guests need to be respected as neighbors.

This location is in a covenant development of 5-20 acre homesites. Its closest store and gas station is in Ft. Garland (6-7 miles away). Altitude is 8,334.
The Mitchell street road sign off Schefflen Road is missing.

The Casita includes FREE swimming for up to 4 guests at Sand Dunes Recreation Hot Springs. Sand Dunes Recreation is an hour drive from The Casita.

Perfect getaway from the city

The owners have thought of everything. Super clean inside and out. The cabin is what I would call cozy and compact, but nothing was missing due to size. Kitchen is very well stocked. Plenty of extra towels and blankets. The outdoor amenities extended the living space and we were able to grill breakfast on the deck, soak in the hot tub, nap in a hammock, and toast some marshmallows over a fire pit. The property provides an experience that far exceeds the possibilities of a hotel. The drive to the cabin is about 10 minutes off the highway and neighbors are not close. The views are stunning! Communication with hosts was excellent and access to the cabin was easy. We stayed with our elementary and middle school age kiddos and it was nice to have privacy of a separate sleeping space for them. They had fun climbing the ladder to the loft. We made some incredible memories!
