The home is thoughtfully designed for comfort and fun, featuring multiple flat-screen TVs, a collection of movies, books, and games, and inviting spaces to unwind together. Step outside to enjoy the sun deck, take a refreshing dip in the 13' x 18' private pool, or relax in the ocean breeze from the upper deck.

Sleeping arrangements have been upgraded for maximum comfort, including king bedrooms, a queen guest room, and a double bunk bedroom perfect for kids or extra guests. The updated kitchen and refreshed baths, including a stylish upper-level primary bath with a tiled walk-in shower, make everyday living easy and enjoyable.

Guests can also take advantage of free community pickleball and tennis courts, adding even more fun to your Outer Banks getaway.

Great week!

We had a great experience staying at A Salty Piece of Land! The location of the house and neighborhood was perfect. It’s an easy walk to both the sand and to the Harris Teeter shopping center. The house itself was clean and well appointed. Our only complaint was that the furniture in the family room is very uncomfortable, seems clear that it’s quite old. The upstairs master has a great bathroom! The view from the upstairs deck was superb and we enjoyed watching the sunrise. We will definitely rebook in the future!

The ships watch room is a great place to spend time eating, playing card games during happy hour, or even reading. The decks outside offer beautiful water views and over looks A large field of vegetation and animals that are fun to watch in the mornings and evenings.

Our ONLY complaint is that there was no beach equipment, at all! Travelling from NY it is difficult to pack an umbrella and chairs in addition to everything else. We left 2 chairs and 2 boogie boards. Hope they stay there!

The views from A Salty Piece of Land are awesome! Not all property owners provide beach equipment to meet all guests' needs. We encourage guests to review listed outdoor amenities for the property, and if something desired is missing, consider visiting one of our equipment rental companies, such as Ocean Atlantic Rental to have the convenience of use without the hassle of additional packing!

We have stayed in this cottage before and the people assisting us were very nice and helful. Only complaint was hot tub had to be worked on several times All in all we will continue renting this cottage v when come to corrolla. So convent to everything you need. The pool is a wonderful spot to hang out anytime but especially after a long day at the beach. It is well equipped and clean. The only thing I would suggest is some new cushions for the couch. They are not very "cushiony" for the older bones in our party.Would rent again.

Location, location, location

Had a great time in Corolla. When we arrived, the house was a little messy. Sheets were sandy, so we washed them. Management responded quickly to our concerns. Floors also sandy, but nothing a broom couldn't handle. All other amenities as noted . Wish they had salt and pepper and coffee filters. We left them for the next renter. We loved the view and the proximity to the beach. Pool was very clean. Stores within walking distance. Overall, a great experience.

The on-off knob to lamp in the living room and to a lamp in one of the bedrooms was missing so the lamps could not be used. The TV operation was not straightforward and the TV package did not include sports channels like ESPN or the MLB baseball network.

Relaxing week

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife and I had a wonderful time in the OBX at A Salty Piece of Land. Everything was as described in the listing and we would be happy to stay there again. I would recommend a small fence to block some of the pool filter noise at the pool as it runs constantly. The pool is smaller than I anticipated, but was perfect for the two of us. The cleaning crew definitely needs to spend a little more care in cleaning as I didn't appreciate finding prior guests hairs in multiple spots in the master bath.

Grill was not fit for use but we did fine without it. The house was not spotlessly clean but also not dirty. About what you expect for a rental. The property is super close to the grocery store and other shops and most importantly, VERY close to the beach...a 2 minute walk at most. I would recommend this property if you're flexible in your expectations.

I thought about cancelling the trip altogether, after being stranded in various hotels for three nights. I am so glad that I didn't. The rental, " A Salty Piece of Land" was immaculate, spacious, and provided an unforgettable vacation. The hot tub was an excellent ending to each day that we were able to spend on the beach. We were so pleased that we reserved an even larger property for next year. I would highly recommend this rental for a family memory filled vacation. We loved it !!!

The house was very clean when we arrived, and the unobstructed ocean views are beautiful! The kitchen needs to be updated and re-organized. The bathrooms could stand an overhaul as well. Also, we all agreed the beds are quite uncomfortable and need new matresses- especially the two queen beds. The screened in porch is a great way to enjoy outdoors in the evening without the bugs, but needs a sturdier table. Also, the pool is smaller than it appears in photos. Great distance from the beach but lots of steps over the dunes.

Decent, but nothing to brag about.

First, just to be clear. This is not an owner-managed rental. It is managed by a beach realty firm. Not that it’s a big deal, but wanted everyone to be clear. Pros: HVAC system kept up and house was comfortable, generally well maintained as they just replaced a lot of exterior railing and stairs, location is great, pool and hot tub well maintained, quality cookware and utensils. Cons: When they say (1) roll of toilet paper, they mean (1)…..not (1) per bathroom. Not a big deal since Harris Teeter is close, but so you’re aware. The screen porch door was badly damaged upon arrival and we reported it to the property management company. They never came out to repair, and the screen porch became a “bug trap” for the week. Basically useless. Cleaning crew could’ve been better….there was sand around the fridge, ceiling fans looked like they haven’t been dusted in over a year, and there was someone’s clothes left in the one bedroom. Sliding doors could use a little maintenance. An investment in some decent outdoor seating could go a long way. Overall it’s a decent house and good location. But I’ve paid less for a better rentals at the beach.

It’s always a pleasure to spend a week here.The location and views are unmatched by most places except those right on the beach. Easy walk to be the beach, which is not overrun the same way as other areas.The pool, although smaller than others in the area is welcoming experience after a day at the beach with a shaded area to enjoy for part of the day.We love the openness and the size of the rooms and bedrooms. The new hot tub is great as is the new refrigerator. There are adequate kitchen supplies for just about any meal prep situation.Although it’s close to paradise, there are three gripes that we have:The beds. The mattresses have not been replaced in quite a long time. I’m pretty sure the 3rd floor is 20+ years old. The two masters really should be replaced with king size. There is plenty of room, and the cost compared to queens is insignificant. This alone would prevent us from renting for more than one week. One of the twin beds should be replaced with a full. It might be fine for 12 and under, but it’s not quite sufficient for teens or adults.The bathroom vent fans. They’ve surpassed their usable life. The bearings are shot and when running, they sound like the idle of a diesel truck. It would be tough to take a shower and not wake someone who is sleeping.The icemaker. Yes it’s a new fridge, but it makes ice WAY TOO SLOW. Granted, it’s somewhat expected since it’s empty (and therefore warms up fast when you open the door) when we arrive. But even when it is full and cold, it barely adds to the ice bin over night. Our solution is to buy 30 pounds of ice. We put 20 lbs in the freezer and 10 lbs in the fridge when we do our initial shopping. One other option would be to bring ice trays since none are provided. I’d recommend 4 or 6 depending on your ice usage.Most li

Salty Piece of Land

The property was nicely located with short walk to the beach. Pool was a little chilly for this time of year. Kitchen well equipped with lots of pots, pans, utensils. Beds could use an upgrade - both to king size and just new mattresses. Shopping super close and fresh seafood markets short distance away.

Great first trip to OBX

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
