About this property

The Gray Whale Cottage-Pet Friendly Home

This home is an original cottage from the 1940s with recent renovations. It is a short walk to the Downtown waterfront along the edge of Taylor’s Creek. A short walk away is Fisherman’s Park, where you can launch your kayak for a leisurely paddle down the waterfront.

The home has hardwood floors, arched doorways, a screened porch, and back deck which opens into a mature, private back yard. The kitchen is bright, modern, and fully equipped, including new stainless appliances and a conveniently located washer and dryer. The screened porch is a wonderful place to start your day with a cup of coffee, watching the neighborhood come to life. The back deck is a peaceful space for watching the birds or grilling out with family and friends.

The primary suite is spacious and includes a half bath, while the rest of the home has access to a new full bath.

The home is equipped with high speed Wi-fi, GoogleTV, and can meet all your needs, from working remotely to turning it off and experiencing the relaxing small-town coastal life.

WHAT IS PROVIDED:
Spectrum Rental Properties will provide sheets and bath towels. Beach towels and equipment is not provided. If you would like information on beach equipment rentals, we are more than happy to provide you with a list. Properties will be provided with a starter kit in each full bathroom and kitchen. Each kitchen starter kit will contain a small bottle of dish soap, two dishwasher pods, sponge, and two fragrance free laundry pods. The kitchen will also have one extra trash bag
Each bathroom starter kit will contain a travel size shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, makeup wipe, and body bar.
Spectrum Rental Properties is unfortunately not able to provide additional boxes/bags. This is a starter kit; anything additional will be guests responsibility to provide.

PET POLICY:
Spectrum Rental Properties must be contacted directly to add this fee to your booking unless you are booking through our DIRECT website (you may select the number of pets at checkout). Pet fees are $200+tax per pet (dogs only, one dog allowed, under 25lbs). This fee is non-refundable!

The Gray Whale Cottage is lovely! The home was exceptionally clean and well maintained while also providing a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Check-in and check-out procedures were quite easy. The location of the property is not far from restaurants and shops, perhaps a 15 minute walk along Front St. and through the beautiful and charming streets. Everywhere we went, people were friendly and welcoming. The Gray Whale Cottage and Beaufort in general are lovely places to stay.

Winter getaway

We had a wonderful stay at the great whale cottage! Location right on front street, so we were able to walk either way and have great nature views. The place was very clean. We had a small issue come up with the dishwasher, and they got someone out right away to fix it. Great communication. Thank you!

Disappointing for sure

The place was clean and nicely remodeled, but 2 out of 3 TV’s didn’t work - only in MB. Big bugs in kitchen and on us in the master bedroom at night.. not good. No curtains on the street side windows? Location For the price and issues mentioned I would have expected better. Beaufort and the adventurous activities are great. We will come back just not sure it will be in this rental. No happy.
