Welcome to our waterfront home with private dock access and amazing views of Candlewood Lake! The home features a spacious open floor plan, 2 patios, bountiful outdoor seating, firepit, hot tub, pool table and breath-taking sunsets. Located 90 minutes from NYC at the end of a cul-de-sac w/ a 2 car garage and onsite parking for 7 cars. Great for privacy, reunions, wedding parties or guests to stay. Kayaks are included with your stay. Boat available for rent upon request.

THE SPACE

Our Danbury Lake Candlewood contemporary home boasts spectacular views of the Lake. It includes four bedroom, two full baths and two half baths is on 0.92 acres right on the water. Our home has a very open floor plan, a very large kitchen with granite counter tops stainless steel appliances that opens up to the large family room with gas fireplace all open to a large deck with incredible views.

The Living Room with vaulted ceilings and opens to the dining room. The laundry and powder room all on the main level. The master bedroom has a large walk-in closet and separate bathroom. It also has its own private balcony with views of the lake. There are two other bedrooms and a full hallway bathroom that rounds out the second floor. The Lower level has a large playroom/great room, another half bath, and office/bedroom that leads out to the lower Patio with hot tub and firepit. A 55" TV is located in the master bedroom, a 65" TV on the main floor and a 75" TV is located on the lower level. Indoor/outdoor games are available

We are located at the endo of a cul-de-sac where there is plenty of parking and a 2 car garage. Electric Car (EV) or Tesla charger available in the garage. You have your own dock and a boat if needed. Available for rent all 12 months of the year!

The house is set on the south western limb of Candlewood Lake, with glorious westerly views over the water to the tree-lined hills opposite. The house is well appointed, with the hot tub, bbq and fire pit seeing some great action during the stay.Matt, our host, was incredibly responsive and helped to ensure we had the best possible stay - thank you!

This is a lovely, well appointed lake front home with a view that can’t be beat. Well appointed with everything you need for a vacation. Outdoor fire pit and hot tub overlooking Candlewood Lake. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely getaway

We came back to the area and wanted a place that had ample space for our 5 older children. The house was stocked beautifully, more so with fishing poles, and kayaks which were used daily. It was a wonderful time with fun memories.

Beautiful Lake-Front Property

Our group stayed here over Thanksgiving and had the best time. The house is beautiful - directly on Candlewood Lake with a sprawling property. The large entertaining spaces (kitchen, living room, dining room, game room, outdoor patios) made this the perfect property for our group. Everything was extremely well-stocked (kitchen supplies, cleaning supplies, extra towels, etc.), and the owners have done an incredibly thorough job including instructions on how to use everything from the jacuzzi all the way down to the coffee maker - which was so helpful throughout our stay.

My time spent at the lake house with my family was unforgettable. Nestled along the serene shoreline, the house offered stunning lake views from every window. Mornings began with coffee on the spacious deck, watching the sun rise over the water. Days were filled with family fun. The house itself was cozy yet modern, with plush furnishings, a crackling fireplace, and a fully-equipped kitchen where we cooked meals together. Great place for my girls getaway on the lake. This home has beautiful views and the house is extremely spacious with plenty of room for fun activities. Great for Groups

We reunited as college friends for the weekend and had a great time. We stayed in the winter so we didn’t use the lake, but we went down to the dock and enjoyed the view—which was also great from every room of the house. Outside and inside spaces were big enough for large groups. You are close enough to town to have food and groceries delivered. Lots to do at the house like games, fire pit, grilling, hot tub. The host is very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend!

We planned a long weekend at this beautiful lake house on Candlewood Lake to celebrate my father’s 80th birthday. What a great place to get together with family and to celebrate. The house was beyond our expectations. It was airy and clean and the views were spectacular. The house had every amenity you could think of and then some. I imagine that this home is even lovelier during the summer. The house was easy to get to, and there were lots of markets and stores (Stew Leonard, Costco, etc.) which made cooking and eating in much more enjoyable. The owners were lovely and accessible and responsive. I highly recommend this home for your next trip.

Wonderful Stay on Candlewood Lake – Spacious, Comfortable, and Well-Equipped

We have just returned to Ireland from a two week vacation in the US. We had an amazing 4-night stay at this beautiful, spacious house on Candlewood Lake. The location is superb — right on the lake with stunning views. The size of the house was ideal for our group, offering plenty of room to relax both indoors and outside. Unfortunately the weather didn't match the beautiful scenery for two of the four days. Inside, the house was incredibly well-stocked. From the kitchen essentials to towels and toiletries, everything we needed was on hand. We especially loved the downstairs game room and hot tub, which kept the younger adults occupied.Matt and Peter, the hosts, were very responsive and helpful any time we had a question. Their attentiveness really made our stay that much more enjoyable even allowing us to stay an extra few hours on the last day to enjoy the good weather. There were just a couple of minor things that could use some attention—specifically, the door handles to the veranda were awkward to operate, and the front door keypad locking mechanism seemed to have an issue. These didn’t detract from our overall experience, but addressing them would make an already great property even better.Overall, we had a fantastic time and would absolutely recommend this home to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable lakefront getawayWe'd love to return in the future!

A little bit of everything

This house was a great stay. The hosts were in contact with us the whole time. As they have written in their posting, there are QR codes everywhere in the house which were super helpful! They’re basically mini videos on how to use everything. It was very helpful. The house was very clean, updated and modern. The kitchen is beautiful and updated, had all of the appliances and dishes/cookware/utensils we’d need. There were Keurig cups left for us, along with other items that were very helpful. Lots of towels, toilet paper and paper towels as needed. The house itself sits on a beautiful lake property. There’s a porch with comfortable furniture overlooking the lake. There are a lot of stairs to get down to the dock, but it’s worth the climb. Beautiful dock, with two great lounge chairs and kayaks available for use. The house also has a hottub and pool table which were great for us. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a lake house stay.
