Javier was a great host and saw to our many needs in a timely fashion. What was good-check in was easy, the beds were comfy, the location was great for getting to places with minimal driving. But I don't think he was well prepared for guests staying for 6 weeks. Generally if there are little items required we just buy them don't ask for payment and leave them behind. In this case we had to ask for so many costly items we started to feel uncomfortable but Javier was always gracious in getting them. He had to buy pots and pans, tea towels, dish clothes, laundry basket, swiffer to wash the floors, put up towel racks in bathrooms and he bought a picnic table so we could sit outside. At times it was very loud outside although he had no control of 6 a m barking dog and cars racing on the street late at night. Laundry room/tool shed was very dusty and dirty, not ideal for clean clothes. But my major complaint were the floors, they were impossible to keep clean and before the swiffer they were worse. Javier asked us to not wear shoes in the house, which was fine since we do the same at home. My husband went in sock feet but he constantly picked up dust and dirt so he decided to were his shoes, my slippers have white soles and even after washing floors the soles were actually black in few hours. The tile floors were constantly covered in dust and a fine sand or grit. Although the floor was washed I think the problem is the the grout it is dirty and without a vacuum you can't pick it up
