Welcome to our spacious and centrally located vacation home, perfect for families with kids and dogs. Situated in close proximity to popular attractions like Garden of the Gods, the Air Force Academy, and the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, you'll have easy access to all the wonders Colorado Springs has to offer. Plus, within a mile or two, you can walk or ride a scooter to various restaurants and parks.
As we transition to living in our cabin, we're thrilled to make our beloved family home available to you this summer. Let's take a closer look at what you can expect:
Upon entering, to the right, you'll find a cozy TV room/office space. Equipped with a VCR/DVD combo and plenty of entertainment options, it's the perfect spot for some family downtime. The room features a comfortable three-seat leather Lazy Boy sofa, a recliner, and a large library table with two monitors, creating a dedicated office space. If you plan on using this area, please let us know, and we'll ensure ample room for you.
Connected to the TV room is the dining and music room. This inviting space houses a four-person dining table, a small TV with an antenna, an upright piano, and a kid craft station. Feel free to make use of the snacks provided and explore our extensive collection of kitchen gadgets.
Heading upstairs, you'll discover three charming bedrooms. The back room is the smallest and features a cozy twin-sized bed. In the middle room, you'll find a full-sized bed and an additional twin bed, creating a delightful princess-themed room. The front room, which doubles as a prayer and yoga space, boasts a serene atmosphere with ample sunlight throughout the day. It's adorned with thousands of books covering various religions and spiritual topics, offering a peaceful ambiance for some yoga, light weights, or relaxation. Please note that this room does not have AC.
The master bedroom, located downstairs, offers a spacious retreat with a comfortable king-sized bed.
Our home features two bathrooms, one upstairs with a shower and a claw foot tub downstairs.
Prepare to be enchanted by our house, as it resembles a cozy library. Every room is filled with hundreds, or sometimes thousands, of books, mainly non-fiction covering a wide range of subjects. If you find a book you love, feel free to take it home as a souvenir. Just let us know which one you took so we can update our inventory accordingly.
Outside, the backyard is divided into two sections, with a dedicated area for our furry friends that features artificial turf. On the human side, you'll find a lovely patio equipped with a grill and comfortable furniture for lounging and enjoying the outdoors.
Built in 1886, our house exudes Victorian charm and character. While it's still a work in progress, we're excited to share our unique space with you this summer.
Book your stay now and experience a vacation surrounded by history, books, and comfort!
