★ The Mainhouse ★:
The living room area is perfect for relaxing and enjoying a movie on the large screen television with surround sound from the Sonos system installed in the ceiling. It consists of:
★ Comfortable Leather sofa with pillows
★ 55” Samsung Smart TV (watch a movie from your accounts on Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, Amazon Prime, YouTube and much more).
★ Sonos sound bar which can be controlled with a smartphone app
★ French doors to access the enclosed sunroom.

Dining area is also here. It boasts seating for six to accommodate a perfect group meal. It can also be used as a workspace on which you can put your laptop and do some work while the rest of the party is relaxing on the couch.

The kitchen is suitable for preparation of any meal, whether it is a breakfast, an afternoon snack or a 3-course dinner for the whole group. While applying your MasterChef skills, you are welcome to:

The bedroom in the main house has a king size bed, where you can get ready for the day ahead in a calm and quiet atmosphere. It has a walk-in closet, a dresser for storing your belongings, seating area, and an internet-connected TV for when you need some downtime.

The spacious bathroom in the main house features a double sink vanity, a generously sized bathtub, and a stand-alone walk-in shower. The vanity has two sinks, ample counter space, and storage cabinets. The bathtub is perfect for soaking in after a long day exploring the desert. The walk-in shower has a rainfall showerhead, a glass door, and provided toiletries for added convenience. The bathroom is well-lit and has tiled floors, walls, and backsplashes, adding to its overall elegance and functionality.

The sunroom is surrounded by windows for enjoying the view and includes a seating area with a Roku-connected TV, a table with seating for four, a selection of board games for entertainment, and a full-size Murphy bed for additional sleeping space.

This property offer a variety of comfortable seating options for guests to enjoy. The main seating area is equipped with a sun shade, providing relief from the harsh desert heat. Cooking enthusiasts will appreciate the propane BBQ and outdoor dining area, complete with a wrap-around bench for meals al fresco. My husband and I enjoyed a recent stay at the Skelton house. It felt secluded with a fabulous patio view of the sunrise and also great for stargazing. Perfect location near the north entrance to Joshua Tree NP. After long days of hiking the spacious bathroom was luxurious and relaxing. Surround sound in main room was excellent and we enjoyed screen-casting our pictures from the day. Full kitchen was perfect for morning breakfast and packing lunches for a day hiking in the park. Thank you to our hosts for a fabulous stay!

A Great Desert Retreat

The property was a wonderful oasis in the desert. It was secluded yet had easy access to all amenities. Patricia, the property manager, was super helpful and responsive. I would encourage individuals, families, and business travelers to utilize this property. The fact that this property was historically significant (Red Skelton) made it even more enjoyable and unique.

Destressing in the desert

Beautiful relaxing property with all we needed to destress and just be. No elaborate checkout procedures (just put stuff back where you found it, run the dishwasher), real furniture inside and out so you can actually relax, beautiful views, stunning sound system, and great coffee! Excellent communication with host. We are already planning return.

It is a spacious one bedroom one bathroom nestled in the desert between the two northern Joshua Tree entrances. Host was super communicative and the property was beautiful. I liked the specific directions to the property, especially the advisory that Google Maps is incorrect. That saved me for sure. I also like the light button labels and the comfortable furnishings. My only recommendation is a washer and dryer for people who would need them. I highly recommend the property to prospective visitors!
