Private WATERFRONT Cottage directly on "Quiet Water" ~ No motors!
Looking for a REALLY beautiful cottage with DIRECT WATERFRONT on 66 acres of "quiet water"? Well, stop scrolling... you just found it :)
Daniel's Pond is a hidden gem and this immaculate cottage has 119 FIVE STAR REVIEWS!!!
Our fully appointed cottage sleeps 2-6 people, with 100 feet of private shoreline, only a few steps from the door. Designed for a couple, small friend group, or family with older children (over 12 years old). It has easy one-level living with a bedroom (queen) on the main floor and two separate sleeping spaces (1 queen and 2 twin beds) upstairs in the loft. The open floor plan has sweeping views of the water and mountains at every turn, exposed wood beams, cathedral ceiling, and loads of natural light. We have a professional well for drinking water. Privacy is yours with a 12 ft tall hedge and fencing to create a natural barrier, located on a dead-end road, and the adjacent cottages more than 100 feet away. Enjoy time on the water using our canoe and rowboat. The level yard is great for lounging or lull yourself to sleep while relaxing in the hammock. Enjoy meals outside on the picnic table and grilling on the Weber gas grill.
Daniels Pond is a little slice of heaven with pristine "quiet water" (no large motors or jet skis allowed) and only 20 waterfront cottages. Soak up the peace and tranquility! Daniels Pond is well known for spectacular, romantic sunsets. This area is known as the Northeast Kingdom, named by the National Geographic Center for Sustainable Destinations as one of the most desirable places to visit in the United States. It is a nature lovers delight! Hike, kayak, swim, mountain bike & fish off the dock to your heart’s content! Great local places nearby like Parker Pie Pizza and Hill Farmstead Brewery - just a few miles away! This is a majestic place that gives you a wonderful sense of getting back to nature and enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
We will realize how precious vacation is and will do our best to make your stay spectacular! You deserve it:)
All Our Best, Kristi & Ed

The owners, Kristi & Ed are from VT. We have been married for over 35 years and love this calm retreat that is our 'secret' on Daniels Pond. We grew up an hour away from Glover, near Montpelier, the capital city. Kristi has been visiting the pond with her family since she was a very little girl. We like to shop at Curriers Country Store, The Wiley's Store, Pete's Greens Farm Stand, and Burtt's Apple Orchard. You might pass us on the Mt. Pisgah hiking trail, bid against us at an Albany auction, or catch us floating the sunny afternoon away on the pond. We have fun by chasing a golf ball down a local golf course, standing in line for ice cream at Pick & Shovel, and eating a Strawberry Shortcake at the Irasburg Church Fair. One of our summer favorites (July) is a day trip to Magog, Quebec (Canada-so bring your passport) where wineries, spas, and Bleu Lavande (Lavender Farm) are located. We love exploring the towns of the Northeast Kingdom (& Eastern Townships of Quebec) and all they have to offer. We love winter too, Skiing at Jay Peak, Burke Mountain, Craftsbury Outdoor Center, and show-shoeing around the pond on a snowy day followed by a glass of wine in front of the fire!
Why they chose this property
We love the beautiful and unspoiled location, the quiet sounds of the Pond and close proximity to mountains and small towns. From May to October we like to shop for vegetables, eggs and more at farm stands on the side of the road and the many local Farmers Markets. Visit country stores, small family-owned shops, county fairs, festivals & church suppers. Make time to check out the Bread & Puppet Theater Museum, Circus Smirkus, Craftsbury Chamber Players as well as the many artists that reside in the area. This is where you get outside to enjoy hiking, biking, fishing and boating on some of the most beautiful land & water anywhere. In the fall, the leaves change color and the foliage is legendary - you have to see it to believe it! From December through April, skiing/riding Jay Peak, Burke Mountain, Stowe and Craftsbury Outdoor Center. And snowshoeing, ice skating and snowmobiling are available throughout the area. Jay Peak also has a huge, amazing indoor water park that is open year-round! Each spring brings the 'Maple Sugar Season' where VT Maple Syrup 'Liquid Gold' is bottled for all to enjoy on pancakes, ice cream & more!
What makes this property unique
Daniels Pond is so beautiful and this cottage was hand built in the 1980's by Kristi's Dad. He cut down the cedar trees on the lot and used them to build the cottage-all the wood you see inside, he put up by hand! As you can see, it is waterfront and has a small sandy beachfront on the edge of the pond, perfect for wading in the water slowly or sitting on the dock and kicking your feet. In the winter, it's perfect for Snowshoeing, Ice Fishing and Cross Country Skiing on the pond. This is a magical place to relax, reconnect with nature (and each other) and get away from it all. Don't you deserve A Getaway on Daniels Pond?
