Terrific location, super private, yet not far from all that North Hero offers. Great for bicycling down to the state park, swimming and paddling all around the area.
This vacation home is absolutely perfect for our family! We did some traveling to Smugglers Notch and Burlington, but our best times were simply kayaking and paddle boarding and playing at the beautiful shoreline and enjoying the scenery. Well stocked kitchen for the evenings we cooked in, too! Highly recommend for families!
Our family of four had a great stay. We enjoyed cooking meals on the grill and lounging on the awning-shading deck overlooking the lake. Also paddling around in the kayaks and fishing and swimming from the shore. Extra supplies like life jackets were in the garage. The house had everything we needed and was cozy and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!
Location was beautiful, located right on the lake with amazing views. Very clean. Plenty of beds for large group. Kitchen was stocked well. Home is advertised as air conditioned, which are wall units on the lower level only, if you plan to stay on the upper level make sure to bring box fans to keep cool.
We had a lovely time on and in the water, riding bikes and watching the storms. The house had just what we needed. The hosts were attentive and reachable. We hope to come back next year!
Wonderful! Everything you need from kayaks, life vests, beach chairs, 2 car garage, fire pit, 3 Adirondack chairs, porch with roller shade covers the whole porch. Huge refrigerator, soap, trash bags, etc. Beds are very comfortable. Good for people with mobility issues, one of us uses a walker. Only 3 steps to navigate with handrails in main entrance and off porch. Right on the lake! Loved it!
Beautiful, quiet property, amazing view. Ample seating. Kayaks were awesome. We also brought our inflatable paddleboards which worked great. Directions to get in property provided before getting there, kitchen had good supply of pots/pans/dishes, utensils, etc. We enjoyed the games they had there as well. It was a heat wave when we were there - second level did get a bit hot for my teens for sleeping so I suggest bringing a fan or two. Host was wonderful as my daughter broke a small lamp in bedroom and this was understood as an accident. Great stay, would go back.
Pop's Place was fantastic! Right on the water. Beautiful view to the east and Mt Mansfield. Kayaks and firepit waiting on the beach, two bikes (and helmets) in the garage, grill ready to fire up, and a lawn made for bocce (we brought). What more could one want? Well, we did actually want more. One reason for choosing this particular location was ability to accommodate an older family member with mobility challenges. This was a great fit. Two of the four bedrooms and one of two bathrooms are on the first floor, with zero-step, easy access from living room/dining room to a good-sized deck with an awning. Entry to home only requires negotiating 3 steps--with sturdy handrails on both sides. In short, this home worked really well for the elders, the 20-somethings and those of us in between.
