Ver nice people but needed to respect the house rules. You were able to enjoy the house as it was found by all guests respecting the rules to keep it that way.
Property was just as listed! Located in a quiet community near all the popular things to do around the Lake. My kids and husband enjoyed being right on the water and the fishing was great! Paula was a wonderful host!

Thank you for being a great guest. I am so glad your family enjoyed their stay. Please think of us for next year.
The property was situated in a great location, offering a smooth check-in experience and excellent customer service from the host. It is an ancestral home that has been updated and well-maintained. The Wi-Fi speed was impressive, and the kitchen along with the amenities were well-equipped for a family stay. The sunset view was absolutely stunning. The host was incredibly friendly and promptly addressed the issue with the air conditioning that wasn't functioning upon our arrival. However, there are a few areas for improvement. The AC, which is a temporary solution for an older house, was quite noisy. Additionally, the basement felt stuffy and was not furnished, making it unusable due to an unpleasant odor.Overall, a great place for get-a-away.

Basements in areas with a high water table areas are not able to be finished for additional use other than access to infrastructure and maintenance.
We had a wonderful visit. The home was very clean and well kept. The owner was responsive to any questions we had. The place was well equipped with anything we could have wanted. We will be back!!
We were looking for a property that was on the bay with a dock as well as close proximity to Cedar Point. We were not disappointed. This property was very clean, was easy to access, and the property owner was extremely helpful throughout! Recommend 100%.

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay at Sunset On The Bay. I hope we see you again.
The house was lovely inside. It was pretty and comfortable. The neighborhood was pleasant. Next time we come, we're definitely bringing the boat! I will say, though, coming from Louisville, I had wrongly assumed there would be air conditioning! Fans are provided and the lake breezes helped a lot.

We have added portable air conditioners in the bedrooms.
Having accidentally discovered this home online, we were more than grateful we selected this location. Bayview Village is a small eclectic grouping of homes on Lake Erie that is what we wanted as a relaxing location with lots of options for dining and entertainment. The newly refurbished home had the old charm with the very updated amenities. We will return.
We rented this property due to its location and water access. We actually paid more and selected this property based on the dock and water access. The day we were getting ready to head there, we got a call from the property owner telling us that the dock and bench on the bank cannot be used based on the HOA. So we only could use the house. We would probably not have selected this house if we knew prior. The house is very clean. The bedrooms are all have air conditioning, but the main house does not. The main house does get warm even with all the windows open. Overall we enjoyed the house but felt that the description and late notice really put a damper on it.

I am sorry about the dock. It was last minute and out of our control. It is no longer an amenity. Immediate contact was made to all booked guests apprising them of the situation which allowed us the ability to work together on identifying alternatives. Those who communicated requests were accommodated to their satisfaction. Indeed, with the unusual and extreme heat this year, additional air conditioning has been added covering all areas in the house. We have excellent maintenance on call, so the new unit was installed within an hour of contacting them. May I suggest guests communicate frankly and promptly to provide hosts the opportunity to satisfy needs prior to, and during their stay. We want you to enjoy our house as much as we do. I am saddened that I was not able to make this guest happy and welcome an opportunity to do so.
We could not stay here. We had to leave the night we arrived. The listing was falsified at the time of booking. 1. There is no central air conditioning despite the listing saying air conditioning. It should be clearly stated that there is no central AC. After I complained, cancelled the reservation, and demanded a refund, the host added to the VRBO listing that there were portable units in the bedrooms and main area. She literally had the main area portable unit installed the evening we were there since I complained and the house was over 80 degrees inside. It did not make a difference, and neither did the portable bedroom units, as the temperature outside was over 90 degrees for the majority of the week. Also, one of the bedroom portable units was broken - the tube from the unit to the window kept falling out. 2. The dock, bank, and bench on the bank were listed as amenities but were unavailable to us due to HOA restrictions imposed on the host. 3. It is stated that no pets are allowed, but there was animal hair in the kitchen sink and on the stairs going to the second floor. Also, be aware that there is a view of the bay but if you look closely in the picture, you will see a vehicle. It is a main freeway right there, and cars and trucks are passing by all the time. The grass was not cut when we arrived as well, and was overgrown. The host was responsive to me when it suited her, but completely ignored my phone call and texts requesting cancellation and refund.

All amenities are outlined completely and accurately in the listing, and were reinforced through phone conversations, and electronic communication and always have been complete and honest. A maintenance man dropped his fork at his dinner and was on site in less than an hour to add another unit to the existing 3 air conditioning units already in the house for this guests comfort. He confirmed operation on all 4 of the units which accounted for coverage over twice the square footage than the property contains. Maintenance reports include photos of all units connected properly and in full working condition. Report also included actual temperature in the home with photo documentation. If the air conditioner is pulled beyond the length of the exhaust hose as in the photo provided by this guest, it can easily be reinserted if placed within the range of the exhaust hose. There has never been any pet in the home as confirmed by outdoor security cameras and all other reviews are of excellent cleanliness. My housekeeper is a goddess of clean. The photo provided showed one piece of fuzz in a shining pristine sink. The only time a call wasn’t picked up was because I was fielding solutions for a stream of endless complaints and working with excellent VRBO agents to help satisfy guest requests. I look forward to continuing to providing excellent experiences for my guests which is custom and evidenced by all other guests reviews. I hope this guest enjoyed her time with family in Huron.
