Easy access to all of Waikiki. Only needed our car when we ventured to other parts of the island. Property could use some updating, including the unit. Although unit was clean, there were issues with the dishwasher and sink facet.
The property appears to be in decent condition, but it has not been remodeled; minor improvements would make it an excellent value for the price. Right in the center of Waikiki, with everything within walking distance. The only difficulty I had was with water clogging in the bathtub; every time someone showers, the other person needs to wait 30 minutes for the water to drain, which was a little inconvenient. Other than that, everything else was fine.
Pros: location was perfect! We had a car (parking is included! That’s rare) but we walked everywhere in town. Lots of great local spots to eat. Target is about 2 blocks away which was great for a few groceries. Busy area but not loud. The beach is a quick 7 minute walk. Folks at the building were very nice & helpful if we had questions. Kitchen appliances were very nice. Cons: The AC unit in the bedroom is hard to keep running if you want to close the drapes, they blow over the unit so you have to figure out a way to pin it up so you get the airflow. The bed could use a pillow top to make it more comfortable, not a deal breaker, but it would make a huge difference. The TV was acting bizarre while we there, we let the owners know, so hopefully that is fixed soon. Could use a few things in the kitchen (pitcher for water, ice tray)Overall we enjoyed our stay, the place just needs a little love.
The condo had a very dirty stove, a discolored yellow toilet seat, a garbage bag on the balcony, and a refrigerator that couldn’t be used due to the horrific smell. Apparently it had been turned off by somone. When contacting the host regarding these issues, he was very rude stating we were fabricating narratives. He sent over a manager after I had to contact vrbo and manager offered only 50% refund. we ended up leaving the property and staying at nicer accommodations.
