Beach was close and the house was cute. Amenities including k cups for the Keurig were nice. Very relaxing. Quiet but also close to town for a quick lunch
We wanted a weekend away to play board games with friends, this was a great place for that! Quiet area within a short walk to a beach (to get moving between games) made for a relaxing and fun weekend.
We booeked this location so that we were close to the starting line for a race that was the next morning in Harbor Beach and we all enjoyed the stay.
The beach access was nice and we even talked about coming back in the summer for a weekend getaway.
Everything was awesome! Clean, new, well appointed house with ideal screen porch, decks, lower patio and walk way. Everything is labeled for easy access. And the beach is beautiful!

Great location and a comfortable stay!
We loved the view of the lake from the front yard and enjoyed the short walk to a quiet little beach area. The house was in a perfect spot for visiting family in Port Hope. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to cook meals at home, which we really appreciated. Some features of the home are a bit dated, the shower is quite small, and the grill could have been cleaner. That said, it was a cozy and convenient place for a weekend getaway—just what we needed!
Stayed here for 2 nights while in town for work and absolutely loved it. The cabin is in a quiet neighborhood and is perfect for those looking for a quiet place to rest. WiFi at the house makes it a great spot to work and hang out at when you’re free, and the beds were great.
10/10 would recommend, we’ll be staying here again when we come back

RELAXING
We only stayed from Tuesday August 1 through Thursday August 3 but it was very private and very relaxing. The king size bed is very comfortable!
This property was exactly what we were looking for - a quite little getaway with beach access. We used the fire pit, grill, and beach - all were great! House was spacious and very clean. Property owner was responsive and easy to work with. Would recommend to anyone!
We were very impressed with the home and the friendliness of the owners. It was very neat and clean and allowed dogs so that was a wonderful thing. There was a lot of accommodations and things that they gave as extra. I would absolutely stay there again and would recommend it to family and friends, also, a very quiet neighborhood

Thank you Susan for choosing to stay with us! We hope you’ll be back!
My friends and I stayed here for a quick weekend getaway and had an amazing time. The home was extremely clean, spacious, and perfect for our group. The kitchen was very well equipped, which made cooking together easy and enjoyable. The A/C worked great and kept the entire space cool and comfortable after a hot day out. We loved that the beach was just a quick walk away, and the fast WiFi made it easy to stay connected. In the evening, we were able to easily connect to the TV and wind down with movies, which was a great way to end the day together. The host was also incredibly communicative and helpful throughout our stay, which made everything run smoothly. I very highly recommend!
If you are looking for a simple lakeside place to stay, this is it! Very short walk to the beach. It’s roomy. Had a great supply of kitchen needs. Cleanliness wasn’t ideal as the twin beds had sand on them and crumbled food on the carpet in there, but shower, bathroom, furniture were all nice. I’d stay again!!

Thank you for your review William. I apologize that there was crumbs and sand in one of the rooms. I’ll will reach out and provide this feedback to our cleaners. We hope to see you again soon !
Town was cute, super friendly people, restaurant was great, gift store was great
Yes private beach, but wayyyy too many rocks could barely walk in the water.
Home was nice, updating is noticeable, kitchen supply’s was great, nice fire pit and grille as well, could use picnic table in backyard- overall nice affordable stay
Overall the property was nice. Some spiderwebs and dust. Bring your own bedding if you’re sensitive to strong smelling laundry soap.

The location of this place was the only reason I gave 3 stars. We booked this place as the listing stated it slept 8-10 comfortably. We had a party of 8. 2 families of 4. The listing stated it had 3 bedrooms with a king bed in one room, 2 twin beds in another, and 2 queen beds in the 3rd. However, in the details of the description, the 3rd was the living room and the listing stated a queen pullout sofa and a queen blow up mattress. When we arrived, there was no pullout sofa, and 2 blow up mattresses instead. When I messaged the owner, she stated they replaced the sofa but forgot to update that on the listing. Then, she updated the listing and stopped messaging me back. Our families made it work, although uncomfortable, and feeling like we were lied to and overcharged for an outdated property that was missing amenities that were listed.
We unfortunately stayed during a heat wave and had no air conditioner. We tried to make the best of it and went to the beach to cool off in the lake. We got swarmed by biting flies with no where to hide.
The cabin is clean. Though no A/C, it is a two bedroom, not a three bedroom, invest in a large 12 cup coffeepot, and screens were partially knocked out in two of the screen doors.
we decided to go home early. Host was very kind and understanding. I would recommend put in a window unit, replacing screens, and powerwashing the outside to remove cobwebs.
Overall - would have been a nice stay!
The host was great and communicated very well with us ahead of time. The house really only sleeps 4 “comfortably” since air mattresses have to be used for any more than that. We knew that going in but the set up didn’t really work for two separate families. We failed to read the fine print and were thankful we had a cooler weekend as the house doesn’t have AC. It was our fault to assume something that is almost a given in most VRBOs nowadays. The shower is incredibly tight, but did its job. The only other downside is that there is no dishwasher. The positives are a very spacious master BR and roomy living room. The beach access is definitely walkable and not that far if you need to run back to the house. The beach is clean and very private. We only stayed two nights but served its purpose for those two nights.
Exactly as advertised, a cute cabin with great views of Lake Huron across the street. A lovely, private back yard with a fire pit. A short walk to a sandy, private beach. Just beautiful, but too mucky for swimming. The kitchen has all the things you need to prepare meals, and the bedrooms are spacious. The bathroom has a very small shower, but functional. The only concern I had was the dust, the dead bugs, and the hyperactive battery-powered air freshner. Granted, I stayed here in November, so it was the off season, probably was empty for a while but the dust and the dead bugs were everywhere! Thankfully the weather was lovely, I was able to open the windows to air it out and I ran the vacuum. I had to put that crazy over-powering air freshner in the closet! I couldn't shut it off and the fumes made me ill.
It was a great get away weekend for us. The beach access was great, beautiful sunrise photos! 60% sand, 40% rocks.
The house was perfect for us. Cozy, senior-pet and toddler friendly because it only had a few steps. Nothing fancy about the house, but that’s what we wanted. Could use some renovations (outlet in kitchen didn’t totally work, window A/C unit, new pull-out bed couch) Overall, reminded me of the old hunting cabins turned rentals we would stay in way up north. There is a master bedroom that sleeps 2 in the same bed (king size) and 2 twin sized beds in another bedroom. After that, there’s the couches, air mattress, and pack and play. Kind of an old wood smell towards the kitchen/bathroom area.
Very quaintly decorated, good set of kitchen utensils, lots of clean towels, sheets, & blankets. Only 1 roll of paper towel, but lots of toilet paper.
Host was outstanding, very communicative, even recommended places for us to eat and visit!
Backyard bonfire pit made for a good way to end the evening. Spigot hose in back for rinsing sandy feet. Lots of windows for cross breeze.
Overall, very clean so cute, and we loved it!
