Beachside Colony on Tybee island, Atlantic Ocean Townhouse #09

Take a break from the world in this newly renovated, oceanfront town home! This marvelous three-bedroom, three-bath unit is beautifully outfitted in a blend of modern and “beachy” flair, and is sure to be comfortable for the entire group. The master bedroom features a king-sized bed and en-suite bathroom, as well as its own private third floor balcony with an amazing sunrise view! The second bedroom is outfitted with a queen bed, while the third has a pair of twin beds and its own TV (perfect for kids!). The fully-stocked kitchen opens up into an airy living and dining area, with seating at the table for 6 and plenty of cozy chairs from which to look out at the beach through the floor-to-ceiling sliding-glass doors. A sleeper sofa in the living room. The balcony also has table and chairs from which you can enjoy the view as you sip your coffee in the mornings. This town home does not allow pets.

This town home has a 2 car garage and an additional parking spot for one guest. It also offers washer and dryer, full kitchen with all full size appliances, linens, private WiFi connection, and cable.

Our resort encompasses an entire oceanfront block and allows for the easiest beach and pool access on Tybee. The brand new pools include a large heated pool for year round enjoyment, as well as an even larger family-friendly sloping entry pool. Outdoor lounge seating completes the pool area along with a walk-up bar and restaurant at the onsite restaurant, The Deck Bar and Kitchen. Air-conditioned bathrooms and outdoor showers at the beach entrance make your visit even more enjoyable.

Beachside Colony Resort & Vacation Rentals offers the only on-site rental office on the island, open 7 days a week, and ready to help you with any information or tour booking that you need. Our resort is located on the beach, right in the middle of Tybee Island, a spot that puts it one mile from the pier, the hub of the island’s shopping and nightlife, and one mile from the Tybee Light Station, one of only 7 colonial-era lighthouses still in use in America. Directly across the street is Tybee's Memorial Park and our YMCA. This park features tennis, volleyball, basketball, and an amazing playground for kids of all ages as well as picnic and grill areas which can host small to large family gatherings. The island's library is also just across the street.

There are many restaurants within a short walking- or driving-distance, but after a long day on the beach, we invite you to enjoy The Deck Beach Bar and Grill; not only is it right in the middle of the resort, it is the only true beachfront dining experience on Tybee!

This property is very clean, and well maintained. Due to the townhouse style, it is not recommended for anyone elderly or who may have difficulty with steep stairs. This should probably be stressed in the listing. Other than that, I would definitely recommend staying here.

Fun run-cation at Tybee Island!

Five of us women stayed here for a long weekend trip that included participating in a run at Fort Pulaski. The condo was perfect for us - plenty of space, bedrooms and bathrooms. We really enjoyed the balconies and hanging out around the table and sitting area. The location is perfect and safe. We enjoyed a couple of long walks, one on the beach and one in a nearby neighhorhood and great restaurants. There's a souvenir shop across the street which came in handy. Perfect stay!

Condo was clean and the location was good. The view from the balconies was as good as it gets for east coast beaches. Be aware that there are a lot of steps to get to the bedrooms though. Two of the bedrooms are on the 3rd level, which has a long set of steep stairs. This won't be an issue for most, but we had grandparents with, so it was a bit challenging for them.

Great location beautiful views

Great location, views were beautiful, plenty of room and nice to have garage but its tight so unless you are driving a sedan or smaller you will have to park outside the garage. didn't realize when i booked there were so many stairs - tall staircase from garage to main floor and tall to second level bedrooms. Wore us out a bit and not fun with groceries, suitcases etc. but we used the exercise to justify the meals we ate! Food at onsite restaurant was delicious.

things to consider

while this property is pet friendly, the beach is not, you can not take your dog on the beach. Also, there's 3 levels to this condo, so if you have weak/bad knees, this is not a place for you because there's no way out but to go up and down steep stairs. It's a beautiful condo, just has it's challenges.

It was a little dated and could use some upgrades. Neither of the sliding doors locked. The cleaner that was used on the floor left a very sticky, slippery film and didn’t feel clean. The master bedroom mattress was extremely uncomfortable. By the third night, our backs hurt so bad we didn’t even want to go to bed!

I chose this neighborhood because it’s home. I moved to Tybee Island in 1978 and have been part of Beachside Colony since its construction in 2000. Over the years, I’ve watched this community grow while still maintaining the relaxed, family-friendly feel that makes Tybee special.
