About this property

Maine Lake Home Sleeps 6+ Norway Lake Pennesseewassee Lake House WIFI

Beautiful, serene, waterfront cottage rental with mountain views on the crystal clear waters on Norway Lake. Cottage is fully equipped, so you can enjoy your time at the lake.

Renters are welcome to use our canoe, paddleboat and 2 kayaks to explore the lake.

Create wonderful family memories spending time lakeside in this beautiful lakefront cottage. Recently renovated with modern amenities. Cottage is clean and comfy and literally a stones throw to the lake.

Cottage features dine in kitchen with gas stove, microwave, full sized fridge, dishwasher, and coffee pot. Dishes, pots and pans, and flatware are available for guest use. Atrium doors open to a screen in porch with a gas grill and additional seating for lakeside dining.

Off the screened in porch the lake is steps away. The deep water dock and swim float will keep adults and children busy and cooled off for hours. Near the shore the water is shallow for little ones (fully supervised please!) to enjoy splashing in the warm lake waters.

The cathedral ceiling living room has a panoramic view of the lake. A wood stove and gas heat provide comfort for those cool Maine evenings.

Sleeping areas:

Off the living room is a private bedroom, with a queen size bed.

A stairway leads to a sleeping loft with two twin beds. Under the steps to the loft you will find games and puzzles for lazy evenings inside.

The Den, also off the living room, has a full sized futon for extra sleeping, and TV for watching movies or basic cable, there is also a gaming system available.

A private bedroom with a queen bed and an attached full bath w/tub is on the other side of the cottage.

An additional bathroom w/shower is directly off the kitchen/entry area.

Enjoy the loons, Canadian geese and bald eagles that make their home on the lake. The fishing is great and is always a favorite activity for our family when they visit.

Launch your boat at the public boat launch, less than one mile from the cottage, there is also a sandy public beach near the boat launch.

family retreat!!!!!

We found so many ways to relax and shake the city off of us… We paddled on boards and boats, canoed kayaked and hiked without leaving the cottage. Then we also went mining, mountain climbing and found lots of reasons to eat ice cream! The cabin was beautifully appointed...simple, charming and very clean. I love to cook and the kitchen was full of utensils and dishes; pots and pans, even lobster crackers! We will be booking shortly for next summer 2015!!!

Our stay

The only negative to the place was the beds.....uncomfortable. Otherwise PERFECT!

We have never had a complaint about the beds before. There are several to choose from and they are clean and comfy, but indeed they are not plush like a elite resort. We always welcome feedback.

Ideal Lake Vacation

My family really enjoyed our stay at this cottage and would love to come back in the future. If you are looking for a Maine Lake rental with an authentic "camp" feel then this is the place. The owners are welcoming and available for any questions or help needed, and they keep the property impeccably maintained. You can't beat the view of the lake from the screened in porch, and all of the bedrooms are comfortable with plenty of room. We made full use of the game closet, the paddle boat, the canoe and the hammock! I highly recommend this property.

great vacation spot

We had an excellent time at this restored camp. The place was charming, all the modern amenities added with a nod toward keeping the original feel of the home. The brand new deck was just enough sun to make all of us happy. I hate to rave too much, since we plan to go back again next year. It was a perfect vacation spot. The lake was warm, and the loons sung in the night, providing the necessary vacation vibe. The owners were friendly, helpful and welcoming when we arrived.

Beautiful Home and Grat Vacation

We stayed the last week of August in 2011. I had spent many summers on the lake and it was great to be back. The home is beautiful and has everything you need for a great vacation. We were treated to a hurricane during our stay but had no problems and the owners went out of their way to make sure everything was ok. It was quiet and relaxing, and brought back some great memories. We hope to be back someday. Thank you for making it so enjoyable.

Norway Lake

A place to spend a slice of your summer, enjoying summer in Maine at it's finest. Quiet Lake with loons abounding. Waterfront, outdoor fire pit and large screened in porch for rainey days. I love to paddle this beautiful lake and see the loons with their babies. Cozy, comfortable and all the ameneties of home. Wonderful get away and plenty of room for company.

Always wanted to visit Maine

Wonderful view from the cottage, close to nature, great fishing, canoeing and swimming. Great place to be your "base" while visiting the many attractions in Maine. My Garmin GPS lead me right to it. This was helpful since it was dark when we arrived.
