Easter Weekend Getaway

Great location just a few houses away from the beach and walkable to the shopping and restaurants. Comfortable relaxing house for a family getaway. The kitchen was well stocked which made cooking our Easter Meal easy. Would definitely book again.

Everything was as advertised. Home was immaculate; well-stocked with kitchen supplies, bedding, towels. Location was accessible to beach in less than 2 minutes and the beach was clean, and well-patrolled by lifeguards. Surfing beach was also just a block away. All in all, a wonderful experience! Highly recommended to all!

(Part 1) My family just completed a fantastic week at Michael's House in Stone Harbor.  Michael is a very gracious host - We had many great online discussions that helped us get ready for the trip, and Michael's response to questions were almost instantaneous.  While not the newest house on the block, the layout was perfect for a family vacation, especially the large and open 2nd Floor Living Room, Dining Room and Kitchen combination that provided more than enough space for dining, puzzles/games and relaxing.  The Great Room then led out to a perfect front deck that was well equipped and spacious (lounge chairs, table, chairs and umbrella) with a great view of the ocean.  The kitchen was also very well equipped in all respects.  The portable JBL and Bose speakers provided were a nice touch.  Lastly, the separate wet bar area with mini fridge was a welcome addition where bottles could be stored apart from the food prep area.  The Master BR on the 2nd Floor was very spacious and had its own balcony and walk-in shower.  One small disappointment was that it did not have a TV or desk area.  The four bedrooms (2 double and 2 twin rooms) on the 1st Floor were more than adequate for different sleeping arrangements.

Happy you all enjoyed our home! We try to make everything very comfortable and easy for our guests. Relaxing on the front balcony in the early morning while the sun rises over the glassy ocean is one of our favorite activities. The exact location for the extra TV and desk monitor keyboard mouse was an internal family debate. We settled on putting them in the downstairs bedroom and the mini crib into the master bedroom. The camp advocating towards peace, quiet, and tranquility and no extra electronics in the master bedroom won. :-)

Our stay at Michael’s place exceeded our expectations and made for one of our most memorable vacations. The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and stocked with bikes, beach chairs, surfboards, board games, and everything our family needed for a fun and relaxing getaway. It was the perfect location in Stone Harbor for our kids to safely walk to the beach, grab lunch nearby, and visit all the shops. It was also perfect for a morning run along the beach. Michael is a fantastic host, always responsive to our questions and offering helpful recommendations for local attractions and dining. We can’t wait to return! Highly recommended!

True Vacation Home!

We had a wonderful stay at this true vacation home. Mike our host was very communicative and the home is set up like a hotel stay with upscale bed linens, bath towels, beach towels, bath soaps, shampoos, high chair, crib, pac n play beach toys and beach chairs all included. A rarity in Stone Harbor!! It made it so easy to enjoy our short weekend stay. We were there for a wedding (during the Ophelia storm) and Mike was also very helpful about updating us on local weather conditions. My only minor suggestion would be to have a portable gate for top of the staircase. Other then that it was a wonderful location very close to the beach and favorite kids park between 106th and 105th street. Easy walk to town as well. Thank you Mike for a great weekend stay despite the crazy weather!

Glad we were able to make your stay easy and comfortable! We've loved our location for decades steps from the beach on the southern section of the island and just a couple blocks from the convenience store. We are happy to start sharing it with others again. A baby gate option, back patio furniture, upgraded showerheads, another TV downstairs, opening up the garage for guest's storage, and more are all part of our off-season plans to make the house even better next year, thanks!
