Welcome to The Fahnstock Street Oasis! Just 2 miles from Downtown Mt. Dora

Brand new detached Guest Cottage nestled in a beautiful neighborhood of the East Crooked Lake area of Eustis has everything a guest can want for a perfect stay. As you enter you will notice the 12' high ceilings and beautiful mural taking up the entire wall behind the sofa of this 520sf suite. You will feel like you just entered a tropical oasis. The floors are concrete cut into a square pattern to look like large tiles. The suite has a beautifully appointed bedroom area(Queen bed) with a painted floral scene above the bed with 2 side lights for extra ambience. Super comfy mattress for a great nights sleep. The kitchenette area is well appointed with a mid-century vibe. The appliances are brand new but have that mid-century look to them. Even though there is no oven or stove top there are many small appliances like a veg. steamer, air fryer, blender, microwave and a 3 in one coffee maker, toaster oven and cooktop for anyone to be able to prepare a meal if desired. The bathroom area featuring a 6' walk-in shower with glass doors has plenty of room for you to get ready for your day to explore the Lake Co. area. The outdoor area off the bathroom door is like a tropical oasis with a private sitting area and a hot tub that you may use to relax in after a long day of exploring the area. A great little place close to everything!

The suite was very nice and we really enjoyed our visit. I highly recommend it if you are coming to the Mount Dora area.

Loved our stay here. The host was very accommodating and helped us immediately when I was checking in and (my fault) had a bit of trouble getting into the suite. We loved the decor and the hand painted welcome card. Hot tub was perfectly clean, good coffee and all the bathroom amenities were great (conditioner, shampoo and blowdryer). The backyard is really nice. Would stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Eustis or Mount Dora.

Wonderful cottage!

Lois has really thought of everything here. The decor was beautiful and much more elevated than most rentals we've stayed in. The bedding was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and well stocked, the kitchen was adorable and had everything you could need. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect private guest house

We had such a relaxing weekend at the Fahnstock Street Oasis. Lois has truly thought of everything. The guest house is quiet and beautifully decorated and close to Mt Dora. The attention to detail is amazing, we would definitely book again. Thank you for being such wonderful host!

Great Place to Relax

My Fiancé and I needed a little getaway and what better place than our Favorite Mount Dora. Our Charming Cottage was Darling, with everything we needed provided, not to mention the art and furnishings which were stellar. Thank You Lois & Hubby, you both are Beautiful People. My husband and I have lived in Florida most of our lives. We both love the water and enjoy the outdoors. About 20 years ago we worked on privately owned yachts. For 14 years we traveled to Europe, Caribbean, Mexico, Canada on the yacht. Even through we worked we still enjoyed all the destinations we stayed in.

Why they chose this property

We moved from Winter Park, Fl in 2018 (where we also manage a VRBO on our property there for many years) to Eustis Fl. My husband was a general contractor (now retired) so we built our new home here. Both my children live here along with my 4 grandchildren. My husbands children live close by also. Our neighborhood is very quaint, we live across the street from East Crooked Lake with a very nice curvy road that runs along the lake with beautiful homes and many trees.

What makes this property unique

We are in a wonderful part of lake co. with many, many lakes surrounding the area. There are many recreational things to do in this area from boating, skiing, you can take a plane ride in Tavares, many parks and we are close to many springs and also 45 min. away from the theme parks.
