About this property

Original Beach Cottage - Completed Renovated Inside

Location is the key! This cottage is located a half block to the beach and is one street over from the main street, Garfield Parkway. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and an outdoor shower. This cottage was completely renovated in 2006 and includes a modern kitchen and so important to a summer house at the beach central air conditioning through out. The kitchen has all new appliances, family size (92 inch) table that seats everyone comfortably, The living room has a new flat screen, with cable and wireless internet throughout the house. Enjoy relaxing afternoons on the outside back yard deck and quiet summer evenings on the front screened in porch. 3 bedrooms have queen beds and one bedroom has 2 twin beds. Linens (bed linens, bath and beach towels) are included from Memorial Day through Labor Day Week. (Please note linens, bath and beach towels are not provided after Labor Day week until the weekend before Memorial Day) We do not charge additional for taxes.

Spring Break

Although the weather did not cooperate with our stay, we enjoyed this lovely cottage! My 5 year old granddaughter absolutely loved her upstairs "sea" bedroom and placed the sea animals that she had brought on all the dressers. ( Well stocked! Only thing I could not find was a hand mixer to whip some cream. We used the whisk!)

The home is a beautifully renovated beach cottage. So comfortable and inviting. Owner was available and very attentive. Plan to definitely to return again.

Location is Key for this Cottage

This was the perfect cottage for our family with teenagers to stay for a winter weekend getaway. The place was freshly painted and the decor was very modern and inviting. There is ample dresser space for longer stays. Very nice, comfortable furniture all over the house. Location is key for the cottage. It's a block from the beach and the around the corner from the downtown shops. We would love to come back and enjoy the cottage during the summertime. Keith, the owner, was very responsive and professional when we needed to be in touch. I would highly recommend the cottage.

Weekend getaway

We enjoyed our stay. Perfect location and a quiet weekend. The house was lovely. As my wife said, the weekend was "Good for the Soul". Hopefully we can reserve next New Years!!!

Perfect location

This was our second stay at the property, which looks small in the pictures but is actually quite spacious and very comfortable. It’s very easy to leave the car and walk everywhere and the house has everything we needed. Our host was quick to answer the one minor question we had. We look forward to our next visit.

Amy grew up less than five miles away from Bethany and spent her summers as a beach chair and umbrella girl. I grew up in the mountains of Vermont, but for some reason I loved the beach, so when I came to Washington DC, I had to go to the beach. The beach is where we met, fell in love and plan to spend the rest of our time watching our son Hudson, now 6, become a beach lover like us.

Why they chose this property

Location is everything, park your car at the beginning of your stay and never have to use it again. Just around the corner is the family friendly downtown area of Bethany Beach. Kids will enjoy the ice cream parlors, DB boardwalk fries, putt putt golf, the old fashioned five and dime and Grottos Pizza, all within two blocks from the house. Adults will enjoy the great restaurants and boutique shopping right in town. A ten mile drive in either direction and you'll find water parks, golfing, outlet shopping and other great summer fun activities.
