Great house for a week with family! Big fire pit perfect at sunset. Kitchen well stocked; we grilled every evening. Loved being literally right on the lake. Tons of water toys like paddle boards and kayaks. Easy to explore nearby beaches and float on the Truckee River. As other reviewers note, there’s a lot of road noise. Would stay here again for sure!
The birdhouse was a perfect spot for a family vacation. Our host Shannon was super responsive and helpful. The fire pit was our favorite spot for morning coffee and evening wine and s’mores. The deck view doesn't get much better. The house was comfortable and clean. We look forward to our next stay! Thank you Shannon!
This is an awesome property, with an amazing host! Shannon was super helpful with replying quickly to questions and had some great recommendations. We LOVED the house and property.

Hi Carol-

Everything was perfect from start to finish. Even with very little snow it was very relaxing just staying at the house.
Shannon was great and very responsive to the questions I had. Would defiantly stay again.
We had a great time at this property. It is fully equipped and great for a big family with all of the amenities. The stairs are cumbersome but we got used to them, otherwise we had a fantastic time. Shannon is a wonderful host and very easy to communicate with. We would certainly stay here again.
This is a fantastic home with great hosts! We are an extended family of 10 and just spent a perfect week in this beautiful home. The kids spent hours paddling in the lake on kayaks provided at the home. We rented a boat for a day and used the shared pier and tie-up bouy. Everything about the home is first class. The view is spectacular! The hosts were super responsive through the whole process: reservation, during the stay, and at checkout. We would love to stay here again and give it our highest recommendation! Zabriskie familyAugust 3-10, 2025

We highly recommend this property. The house was very clean, the kitchen was extremely well stocked (best we've seen in 10+ vacation rentals), the bed was comfortable, the view was spectacular, the location was 5-10 minutes from dining and shopping, the host was friendly and very responsive. We would definitely book again.

This Property the perfect home for our trip to North lake Tahoe. It was very easy to check in and the house was immaculate. The kitchen was very well stocked and the home was well furnished. Shannon was very accessible and accommodating. There were plenty of coffee shops and restaurants near by. The dock and fire pit were amazing spots to spend the evening. We made some amazing memories this stay, and will definitely look to stay here again!

Kevin- I’m so glad you had a great time! Thank you for all the communication. We hope you stay with us again. Shannon
We booked a week here last minute and Shannon was so helpful and easy to book with. We loved the home, so much space inside (so many bathrooms!) we loved relaxing on the deck and around the fire pit. It’s a great layout and well stocked. We brought our boat and used the buoy and shared dock, but honestly never saw anyone else use the dock so it felt like our own. 5 minute walk to Garwoods was fun and convenient!

This property hosted our group of friends for an adult getaway celebrating a milestone birthday and many life moments. We enjoyed the proximity to all of the activities we wanted to do but having this house fit our group so well was a plus. Very clean, responsive, accommodating and the perfect view of the beautiful Lake Tahoe. Easy access to so many restaurants, activities or staying in and enjoying the shared pier, on the water location and awesome fire area. A lifetime of memories were made! We can’t wait to come back!

Angela- Thank you so much for taking such great care of our home. You were so sweet with great communication! I am really happy you enjoyed your stay! Come back again soon.
Our family really enjoyed out stay at this luxurious home rental. The lake views are amazing and the location is convenient to Kings Beach and Tahoe City. I appreciated the home was well stocked - plenty of pillows, blankets, and the Kitchen is well-equipped. I also appreciated the quality mattress and bedding. Having separate climate control (thermostats) upstairs and downstairs is nice feature too. This home will be on our short list of properties to look into our next trip to Tahoe. Finally the owners were easy to reach and accommodating.
We had a fantastic time here. It is almost impossible to find a place on the lake that takes a dog and has a buoy for anything close to reasonable. It's always one or the other or some dodgy blast from the past place. Not here. Shannon's place has it all. Buoy and pier were very user-friendly. Home was nicely updated. Bed sheets and towels were top quality. Kitchen had all the stuff you'd need. Spent almost all time at the house outside on either the upstairs deck or patio down below with the fire pit. Both are fantastic. Bathrooms were all updated or relatively so. Ceiling fans were perfect at keeping the bedrooms breezy and cool. Came stocked with toys - kayaks, paddle boards, tender. The beach is rocky, but the steps on the pier are great for getting in the water and everyone was very happy with that. We found the garage extremely useful and the spaces very wide. Would definitely stay again!

Wow! Thanks for such a nice review. It was great to have you and we appreciate how nice you left the house. We hope to have you stay again! Shannon
Positives:
1-the host, Shannon, was great throughout the entire process, pre book, pre arrival, during stay. She was extremely responsive via email.
2-location was awesome. Very convenient to hikes, grocery stores, Gar Woods (a must stop for drinks and ambiance), Tahoe City and Incline Village. Easy drive from Reno airport.
3-the house itself. Comfortable sitting and inside eating, great deck with views, and great gas fire pit area with 8 chairs at lakeside.
4-dock and buoys were great to have. We rented a boat for 6 days and being able to keep onsite saved so much time vs if we would have had to pickup & return it daily.
5-furnishings inside and out. Kitchen well stocked with utensils, plates, glasses. Outside there were paddle boards, kayaks, large Maui mat, etc.
Negatives - and really these were very minor and did not impact our time.
1-location- the house is on N Lake Blvd, so you do hear traffic (worse on weekend) up until around midnight and it starts up again by 6am. 2 uppper level bedrooms are on the roadside so had to sleep with windows closed for the most part. This is the trade off for the overall convenience of the location and wanting to be on the lake.
2-the house probably needs a deep clean, including the grill, though again overall it was fine (spiderwebs in windows, etc)
3-while the grill and water toys were available, an upgrade to the grill and a nicer 2-person kayak might be in order.
Overall the house made for awesome vacation!
