Wisconsin's wilderness is calling, so answer the call with a stay at Trail Hub 17, a pleasant and quiet home with a view of Mercer Lake. The home welcomes fisher people, kayakers, boaters, and paddle boarders during the summer months with ice fisher people, ice skater, and snowmobilers rounding out the winter season. Conveniently located on Trail 17, your ATV or snowmobile will be ready for adventure. Keep in mind a cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trail is within walking distance.
Upon entry, you'll be met with a bright and welcoming interior. The home has a charming, homey, yet rustic feel about it, aiding the feel that you're away from home and on vacation. Stream your favorite movies on the large TV while the chef of the household prepares grand meals and outdoor adventure snacks in the open-concept kitchen. Soft beds in spacious bedrooms ensure everyone receives a wonderful night's rest from the day's activities, with a main suite and bunk beds to accommodate everyone comfortably. Plenty of board games are available to entertain you if there's inclement weather.
The home boasts a pull-through driveway so you and your party will have plenty of space to park your trailers, and a fire pit will afford you the outdoor environment you are craving to share your day's stories while overlooking lovely Mercer Lake. Tour the area and discover local attractions like Claire D'Loon, B&B Adventures of Mercer, North Lakeland Discover Center, Winman Trails, and Schomberg Country Park. Several trails pass through or nearby Train Hub 17 to include both the Mercer/Manitowish and the Heart of Vilas paved bike trails. The 4,800-mile-long National Scenic North Country Trail for hikers and backpackers also awaits. In addition, Mercer's paved trail system will be growing by over 8 additional miles and will ultimately connect to the nearby WinMan mountain biking trails. Trail Hub 17 is located within an hour of Lake Superior’s Saxon Harbor, Black River Recreation Area, Little Girls Point County Park, Copper Peak Ski Jump, dozens of waterfalls, hundreds of acres of County public hunting lands, Chequamegon/Nicolet/Ottawa National Forests, Porcupine Mountains and Sylvania Wilderness Areas, County Forests, and State Natural Areas.
Wisconsin's "Crown Jewel" the Turtle-Flambeau Flowage, and surrounding lakes, many of which are chained together will provide endless water recreation.
If alpine skiing is your passion, you will find several ski hills and resorts located the nearby Werby Penokee Range, including Whitecap Mountain, Caribou-Big Powderhorn, Mt. Zion, Jackson Creek, and Black River Basin.
