We were looking for an easy walk into wellfleet and this little cottage was perfect. Very charming and comfortable!! Our hosts were great and we loved the place.
This Wellfleet apartment was conveniently located and fit our needs as a landing spot to sleep. We enjoyed our morning walks to town and the pier. Restaurants are close by in charming Wellfleet.
The cottage is very charming and the location is perfect - you can walk to the town center in 5 minutes. The owner is very kind and helped me out as I dealt with a medical issue.
Robert’s cottage was perfect for my husband, my two year old daughter and myself. The location can’t be beat and we walked and/or biked into town, restaurants, the beach and the park multiple times during our stay. Thank you again!

Rustic Charm
My boyfriend and I enjoyed a perfect 5 night getaway at this sweet, quiet cottage in Wellfleet. It was a simple, artistic, and romantic space, centrally located with easy access to beaches and ponds and a short walk to town. We would go back in a second!
Property is private and beautifully maintained. The cottage was great for 2 people. Private entrance. Eveything u need is included with this rental. Our host was extremely kind. Easy to contact. The only disappointing thing it rained for 3 daysdays straight.
I enjoyed my stay……comfortable and quiet. My only frustration was the WiFi…..I often had to stand next to the door adjoining the main property to get a WiFi signal…..a router in the Air B and B space would be very helpful. Otherwise, everything went seamlessly…..

We are sorry that Martha had problems with the internet. Connectivity is often an issue on the Outer Cape. We have had the cable company come various times. We will try again so out future guests don't have the same frustration. I am happy to give Martha some refund for her troubles.
We really liked Robert’s place. Just big enough, the location was great for walking, cycling and driving and the kitchen was well equipped. The bed was comfy, the shower was excellent and there was some wonderful art on the wall. For us the only drawback was the couch which we tended to sink into and found difficult to extract ourselves from.
I was on the Cape to attend a workshop at Castle Hill in Truro, and Robert's cottage was a wonderful and comfortable place to stay. I hope to return someday!
The cottage is immaculate, easy to navigate, beautiful, and quiet. A hummingbird visits the honeysuckle vine out the window. The location makes everything in Wellfleet easily accessible. The cottage offers a classic, comfortable, and relaxing vibe, and Robert is an attentive and helpful host. We loved it!
We had the loveliest time in Wellfleet. Our group included myself, my husband and almost two-year-old and it was perfect for us. The cottage was cozy, well-appointed and had everything we needed. It’s located on a quiet road and walking distance from town. We loved our stay here, thank you for the hospitality!
spotless, well-stocked cottage; short walk to downtown; very quiet neighborhood; attentive and interesting host... we would stay here again anytime!

Jaehyun and family were delightful. Two young enthusiastic children who seemed to be having a great time. I had a few conversations with Jaehyun who is friendly and engaging. The cottage was spotless when they left. I hope they come back next summer.

Cute, Quiet & Comfortable
We had our two VIP guests stay at the cottage for a family wedding event. The cottage was very comfortable and roomy with a cute, albeit, small back porch with a table and sitting area suitable for a couple. The hosts generously provided some milk and orange juice in the well equipped kitchen. The bedroom was accessible by an open-tread stairway to a comfortable queen bed. The headroom on the stairway was very low however, that required ducking so as not to hit your head. There was an unseasonal cold snap during the stay that required use of the heating system on the main floor to rise to the second floor bedroom. Aside from these two unexpected features, the cottage made for very nice accommodations that rated a "9" out of "10". Would certainly recommend this cottage to others.

Sweet Cottage on the Cape
My husband and I stayed at this lovely, well-appointed cottage over our honeymoon. It was just perfect for two, and we had a wonderful time. The property is a short walk from the town center, but located on a quiet lane- you have a sense of complete privacy and peace though you are steps away from a bustling beach town. The owners are friendly and accommodating (happy to answer any questions), and very unobtrusive. Beaches (either bay or Atlantic) are an easy bike ride away. Whether you'd like to spend your time cooking romantic dinners for two and reading in the blissful calm at home, or if you'd prefer to explore restaurants, bars, and other attractions in Wellfleet, this cottage allows you the best of both worlds. Sorry to leave!

Perfect space!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this quaint and comfortable cottage. Though attached to the main house, it's still totally quiet and private. The location is super close to town (and the fab Flying Fish Restaurant!), the layout is optimal, decor is cozy/artsy with great style and full roomy kitchen is a bonus. Robert is a perfect host with lots of great recommendations for the best restaurants on the cape, thanks Robert!!

It's was so easy hosting people who enjoy being here on Outer Cape Cod! These guests, who gave us such a good and kind review, are such a great family--a young couple and their 5-year-old son. I enjoyed talking with them and especially appreciated how much they took advantage of the beautiful ocean and bay beaches, fresh water ponds, and the many walks through the National Seashore, and biking on the Cape Cod Bike Trail. They also enjoyed so many of the local restaurants.
What a wonderful thing when people can come and relax and enjoy their time in one of the most beautiful places in the world!

Lovely, peaceful spot to relax
A peaceful, quiet get-away. Host Robert is friendly, looking to help you with whatever you need, but is in no way intrusive. Property is great and the restaurants in town are lovely. My wife and daughters and I had a most relaxing week. Outer Cape bliss: many beautiful town beaches, perfect weather, fresh fish at Hatch's to cook on the barbecue. Wellfleet is perfectly located on the Cape and this property is the ideal place to explore it. Highly recommended: we would return in a heartbeat.

About the host
Hosted by Robert Shreefter
My wife and I are long-time residents of Wellfleet. We are both university faculty. I am also an artist and enjoy being surrounded by the beauty of the outer Cape-- and by artists and galleries. We just bought this house 5 years ago. For many years, we rented our previous Wellfleet home to visitors. This past summer, we opened our own gallery--Off Main Gallery--at 326 Main Street, rear. This is behind the Chocolate Sparrow and Nice Cream Shop. We show the work of many local artists.
Why they chose this property
This property is in town and doesn't require crossing Route 6 to get to town, to ocean and bay beaches and ponds. Also, the center of town is a 5-minute walk from our quiet lane. We are off Briar Lane, and the house is secluded. The view out the bedroom window is breathtaking. There is a meadow and a wet land beyond that. You can watch the sun set from the window. There is a very private patio out the back door of the living room. Simple but beautiful furnishings and original artwork.
What makes this property unique
This is an ideal place for a writer, and artist that needs a quiet and secluded place. Ideal for a couple--and has a queen-size bed upstairs and futon for child/children, downstairs
