You will be sharing the unit during your stay
Front door: We use a smartlock for the front door so please do not use any other locks. The passcode will be given to you upon booking in a welcome message. If you do not receive the passcode or forgot it, please contact me.
Smoking: I used to allow smoking inside but guests have complained about the smell and one time a guest burned a cigarette hole on the bed sheets, so indoor smoking is not allowed anymore. You must smoke outside in the front stairs and there is an ashtray located on the stairs for this reason.
Bathroom: After use, leave the bathroom door open as there is no window and the steam will get trapped which will cause mold. Make sure door is against the wall, not halfway open so it doesn’t block the hallway.
Garbage nights: The garbage men pick up the trash Tuesday & Friday nights. Please place all trash inside the trash bags provided. If the bag is full, take it outside and put it in the trash bin. Do not leave the bags in the kitchen or it will smell bad and attract unwanted flies. Also, all trash must be inside a bag, do not just throw anything in the trash bin.
Noise Rules: Quiet hours are bet. the hours of 9pm - 9am. Parties are strictly prohibited, as this is just a room with a shared apartment.
In general I prefer you take off shoes in the shoe area and use socks or slippers. Slippers are provided upon request. But this is a preference, not a rule so it’s up to you. At night it gets dark so you can turn on the hallway lights and leave them on all night.
Also please do not eat or drink on the bed. Guests have stained the bed linens, resulting in me having to buy new ones. If the bed linens are stained, you will be charged an extra fee for the linens.
As a reminder, this is a shared apartment so at anytime, if you have concerns about privacy or safety, let me know. If I do something you don’t like, let me know. At the same time, if you did not follow the rules, I will let you know. Understand these points and we’ll get along just fine.
Let me know your arrival time and I will introduce myself and show you around the apartment.

It was a wonderful stay! Benjamin was clear and was always helpful! The neighborhood was clean and spacious, with the park not being too far away. Overall one of the best experiences I’ve had in a while!
I loved the neighborhood and the host! The host Benjamin is lovely and genuinely wants the best for his guests.

About the host
Hosted by Benjamin
I was born and raised in Chinatown but have no memories of that time as I have lived in Brooklyn my whole life.
Just like other hosts, I have an unoccupied room in my house and I could use some extra income in this tough economy. I can't wait to share my room with you, so let me know how I can make your stay a 5 star stay!
If you have a question about my amenities or my location, feel free to ask me and make a booking today. The price is only this low for a limited time only.
I am a part time programmer who teaches programming at city tech university. My hobbies include kickboxing, exercising, watching anime, learning Japanese...we can talk about any of these topics and more!
Why they chose this property
Lively and convenient, Sheepshead Bay has everything you'll need and you get a true Brooklyn experience in this stay
Sheepshead Bay was named after a fish - the sheepshead - that can no longer be found here in the area. This lively neighborhood was once a fishing destination that many visited along with its close proximity to the race track.
Located next to Brighton Beach and Coney Island, Sheepshead Bay has an eclectic mix of immigrants that including Italians, Turkish, Georgians, Eastern European and Chinese. You can get everything you need in this neighborhood. When you're ready to relax, head to the nearest cafe (there are quite a few) or go to a restaurant or two. Then, take a walk along the bay.
In the summer, you can walk to Manhattan Beach or take the subway to Brighton Beach/Coney Island to enjoy the seaside.
You'll be able to visit Brighton beach, New York's Little Odessa - home to a large community of Russians and many immigrants of the former Soviet Union or go to the famous Coney Island to visit Luna Park, Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs, the New York Aquarium.
You can easily Uber to other parts of Brooklyn and if you decide you want to visit the sights in Manhattan, the B/Q train are only a 5 minute walk away. Getting around From JFK Airport - 25 minutes in Uber/Lyft From LGA Airport - 35 minutes in Uber/Lyft
B - Express train - 30 Minutes to Lower Manhattan (Chinatown/Nolita/Soho) 40 Minutes to Midtown (34th Street Herald Square)
Q - Local Train - 35 minutes to Lower Manhattan - (Chinatown/Soho) 45 minutes to Midtown (34th Street Herald Square)
(I timed these myself, but does not include walking and wait times for the train!)
B Express train does not run after 9PM on weekdays and on Weekends!
** please note - the MTA runs best on weekdays before 10pm. Please have realistic expectations and don't be too upset if it takes a little longer than the estimated time above.
