Welcome to our house on the south shore of Lake Mille Lacs! This private home is perfect for your year-round getaways. You will feel right at home with plenty of windows/natural sunlight to enjoy the relaxing views, a kitchen equipped for your cooking needs, and comfortable beds for the whole family. The home is located within the Izaty’s resort, with a view of hole 10 on the 18-hole championship golf course. You can enjoy all the Izaty’s amenities via a short walk from the house. This gem is also close to the public boat landing, several snowmobile/hiking/ATV trails, state parks and private fishing outfitters. Booking is open for the 2024 season; we look forward to you spending time with us during your Lake Mille Lacs area adventures!

About the home: Everything on one level! Enjoy an open concept living room, dining and kitchen space for you and your guests to indulge in good food, conversation and maybe even some games. There are three bedrooms and two baths with plenty of room for the whole family. Bedroom #1 has a king-sized bed, bedroom #2 includes a full over full bunk bed and a twin bed, and bedroom #3 has two queen beds. Bedroom #3 also has an en suite bathroom and a washer/dryer in the master closet for your use. When the weather is nice, get outside and enjoy the fresh air on the deck, grill some delicious food and play some yard games. If the weather isn’t cooperating, cozy up next to the fireplace inside and stay busy with board games, cards, puzzles, or yard games in the garage.

Outdoor amenities include: Propane grill and extra propane tanks, patio table and chairs, bean bag boards and ladder golf.

Indoor amenities include: Air fryer, coffee maker, crockpot, Ninja blender, electric griddle, countertop ice maker, pots and pans, cutting boards, kitchen utensils, toaster, bath towels, bed linens and extra pillows and blankets. Puzzles, cards, board games and color crayons for entertainment. The home is also stocked with liquid hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, trash bags, laundry soap, dish soap and dishwasher tabs.

Fishing: Lake Mille Lacs is known for its year-round, world-class fishing with walleye, northern pike, jumbo perch, giant muskie, and small mouth bass! Bring your boat in the spring, summer or fall and launch through the Izaty’s private access for a minimal fee. You can also access the public boat landing which is located just 2.5 miles down the road. Don’t have a boat? There are also several guide services to accommodate your group on a fishing excursion. During the winter months you can bring your fish house and access the lake through many of the resorts that plow trails or rent a spot in one of their day houses.

Izaty’s amenities: For those wanting to stay close to the house, check out Izaty’s Black Brook 18-hole championship golf course, tennis courts, swimming pool and hot tub; daily passes available at the club house.
Outdoor enthusiasts: Explore the more than 300 miles of ATV trails that make up the largest connected ATV trail in the state! Get some fresh air and enjoy the breathtaking scenic views biking, hiking, or rollerblading on the Mille Lacs Soo Line Trail. This trail meanders through forests, farmland, and wetlands with 11 miles of paved trail between Onamia and Isle. You can access the two state parks, Kathio and Father Hennepin, from the trail via low traffic roads. Want to see more wildlife and nature? Go discover the Mille Lacs Wildlife Management Area, located just south of the lake and consists of over 38,000 acres of public land. Mille lacs is also home to nearly 125 miles of groomed snowmobile trails. There are also several trails for snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. The Mille Lacs Kathio State Park has a sledding hill with hot chocolate in the warming house. For those thrill-seekers, Lake Mille Lacs is perfect for kiteboarding on skis or snowboards, and ice skating.

Indoor activities: Lake Mille Lacs is also home to several amazing places to eat, play bingo or experience a Minnesota meat raffle. Feeling lucky? Annual friend reunion
I booked this cabin for a girl’s weekend, and it was perfect! Big bedrooms with comfy beds, the house was clean and welcoming. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us. We had fun exploring the community one day and spent the next day relaxing at the cabin. The open concept living room/dinning was great so we could all be doing different things but still be together so we could catch up. Big dining room table for our puzzles and games! The garage was nice for loading and unloading. If it would have been warmer, we probably would have used the bean bag boards in the garage. We used the grill and even had supper on the deck, very peaceful! The kitchen was full of extra things such as a pizzaz, air fryer, griddle, coffee maker, toaster, and blender. Filtered water in the fridge so we didn’t need to bring bottles of water. It was great having the fireplace to take the chill off in the evening. Beautiful cabin for our getaway in a convenient location! Will book again!

Mother/daughter's quilt retreat
The Ridge is a lovely new facilty. The furnishings are very comfortable, especially the beds. There was ample space for us to spread out our sewing machines and other supplies. The kitchen has everything we needed and much more. There is a beautiful view of the golf course and would have been easy to access for a cross country ski had there been snow. Beautiful sunrise and sunset, make the "cherry on the top". We will come back.

Break away for family time
We really enjoyed the options for the home and the many rooms and beds available. Having a grill and fully stocked kitchen made for easily cooking and the dishwasher made for easy clean up. With the littles it was very nice to have a washer and dryer. We ended up using that a couple times. The home was very clean with more things than we needed. Being able to use the garage was also a pleasant bonus! Activities: The boys were able to get away to Mille Lacs for a day of ice fishing at 15 minutes away. The girls were able to go for a night of Bingo at Grand Casino about 20 minutes away. There was also a 24 hour pool within a mile of the property that is free to guests. We did not use it as were preferred a day at the waterpark in Baxter. We were going to go to one of the state parks nearby too. The property is in a new neighborhood that is extremely quiet and right on the golf course. It was winter so golfing was not happening, but it made it extra quiet. We really appreciated the extra blankets and the fireplace. Winters can get cold in MN and we all have varying degrees of comfort. Matt was very responsive to every question and I had a few! The poor guy was messaged several times before our stay to see if we needed this or that. He was wonderful and prompt in replying. BTW the place has filtered water in the fridge that worked well for making baby bottles and for drinking. No need to bring bottled water. Save the environment and bring your bottle for water.
