“The Castle” was the perfect home base for our family visit nearby. Comfortable, well set up, and hands down some of the best beds we’ve ever had at a VRBO. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals easily, and the whole place made it simple to relax and recharge between family time. Communication was quick and easy the entire stay, which made everything seamless.

The parking was a little tricky being that the bus stop is in front of the house. I was surprised there was no top sheet on the beds only Comforter. Was missing soap in shower. But the house was clean and a nice place to lay your head and relax. The beds and couch were comfortable. And we had to leave very early on check out day.. it was nice not to have to do any cleanup

This house was perfect for our stay. Check in instructions were very clear including instructions for parking in the garage. Communication with the owner was great. Communication with the host was very good prior to check in and check out. Inside of the home was clean. One thing to note is that one bath is only a toilet/sink and located right off of the back door by the kitchen while the 3 bedrooms upstairs share one bath with the only shower/tub. We were staying with another couple and we were very happy that both of our vehicles would fit in the garage as we would not want to park our vehicles on the street beside the house. It would have been good if towels would have been provided for the kitchen. There was only one small microfiber towel so unfortunately we had to use a lot of paper towels over a 3 night stay since we cooked all breakfasts/dinners. The location of the home was convenient for the OH Expo Center as we were there with our classic truck for the GoodGuys car show (hence another reason we were very glad out truck fit in the garage).

This property was not what we thought it would be. The neighborhood is very rundown and the front of the house is unkept. Long grass and no flowers or shrubs The other homes in the area are boarded up. The garage door does not lock from the outside and the bathroom door upstairs does not close/lock. There is no safe street parking.Regarding the inside of the property, there is only one small television in the dated living area. The upstairs bathroom does not lock or close all the way. There is no cell phone service in the area so you have to be on the Wi-Fi . We were only there for about 30 minutes as we were very alarmed by the activity going on in the neighborhood. We left right away and didn’t use any of the items inside. We were not comfortable staying at this home so we left immediately upon check-in and found another unit.

I am truly ashamed of your behavior and the fact that you were not honest about the reason you left. Based on what happened, your behavior appears to be a clear example of racial discrimination. You checked in and left my property less than ten minutes later because you felt uncomfortable with my Black neighbors. Let me be very clear: there is no safety issue in this neighborhood. My neighbors are friendly, respectful people, and I have never had a problem with them. I have reported your behavior to the Vrbo platform, and Vrbo has supported my position and made it clear that this kind of discriminatory behavior is not acceptable. You are free to leave me a negative review if you choose, but I will never accept or tolerate discrimination against my Black neighbors. My property is not a place for someone who is dishonest or who discriminates against others. I do not welcome guests who behave this way.

The house was great. It was the location that we were looking for. the big event was the Ohio State versus Texas Longhorns football game today. We were able to explore a lot of the area and the zoo and the football game were hands-down Our favorite. The only downside was that the first night of our stay there were gunshots and a police presence in the neighborhood, but that was the only time.

Very clean and loved having the garage. Was there for a con and really enjoyed how close it was so i could easily go back and forth during the day. The only small negative was the tub is super slippery. I just threw down some wash cloths and it was fine but may benefit from a mat or something.Loved the house though and if i ever end up back in columbus i would definitely check here first
