Very nice place!

Beautifully remodeled and decorated. It's obvious the owner took a lot of care and attention to make it nice. We had everything we needed. Very comfortable. We didn't know what to expect in Racine as we were basically passing through, but it would have been fun to learn more or do a city tour. A lot of old homes with probably a rich history. Beautiful view of Lake Michigan. Highly recommend The Maple Table for breakfast!

Great place to stay in a community worth visiting

This is a "very clean” studio style apartment near downtown Racine, WI. one block from Lake Michigan. It is cozy but a couple could easily find privacy (if wanted) because it has an overhead loft. The kitchen is equipped with a cook top oven, microwave and full size refrigerator and we cooked Turkey Stuffing for our large family gathering near by. The Host is outstanding! If you forgot anything it is likely available in the unit. If you need anything the Host is an excellent communicator. Oh, one other thing - "The Maple Table" for Breakfast/Brunch/Lunch. You won’t be disappointed.

Host Told Us We Couldn’t Stay There - After Checkin

Our reservation seemed fine, even receiving an email three days before our arrival. But when the access code hadn’t been received by the 3:00pm checkin we messaged, then called and left a v/m, then messaged again. About 5:00pm we received several messages from the host that they were sorry, but we couldn’t stay that the property was supposed to have been closed on VRBO until later that year. Upset, I called and the host apologized but then blamed VRBO?! Being a host myself I knew they had received notice by text and email when I booked, had even responded to my booking, had gotten notice from VRBO shortly before our arrival, but now is trying to blame VRBO! We had traveled all the way to within 15 minutes of the property and were devastated at losing our weekend. Then the host wanted me to cancel! If I cancel, I don’t get my insurance money back and only get my rent money back if these useless hosts decide to reimburse me. I called VRBO and they had the host cancel. Terrible
