You get to the lodge along a long, curvy road that transports you to another place. By the time you arrive, you've left the hustle and bustle of the city. While the cell coverage isn't great, the wifi works perfectly, so you can still stay as connected as you'd like.
I have never stayed in a rental that was so well stocked! They thought of everything: spices, dog treats, a wide choice of cookware and servingware, extra blankets, and so much more. It's all there!
The kitchenette is also well stocked and includes another refrigerator, so there's plenty of space to store food. The main kitchen's wine cooler allows cold drink storage without using refrigerator space.
The place is absolutely beautiful! It's well decorated and so comfortable. The dining table is large enough to seat 12, with more seating around the island in the main kitchen. There is comfortable seating throughout the lodge with so many great places to curl up with a good book.
There are games and puzzles throughout the lodge. There are outdoor games on the screen porch, including a great ax throwing game which was a lot of fun. There is a charcoal grill (charcoal included) and a large gas grill on the balcony close to the kitchen. There are decks and balconies across the back that lead down to the river. The edge of the river is rocky, but easily navigated down to the water to enjoy fishing (poles on the screen porch).
We enjoyed our time there with three generations of family, and can't wait to go back!
