We were there for baseball in Elizabethtown- just fyi it’s a different time zone. House was perfect! It’s so much more compared to the pictures, super comfortable, and great location!

Great place
Everything we needed was there! Cool location, great outdoor space, easy walk down to the water. Loaded kitchen
Property was just as advertised. Nice kitchen and dining area for large family. Nice deck with covered area. It was on the river but a bit a steep hike.
The house was great! We didn’t really need to bring anything extra. Very clean and tons of space indoors for our 2 and 6 year old. The neighbors are great!
Just a short drive to Laurel Beach to enjoy the lake. And quick trip into Leitchfield for anything you need. We will definitely be going back!
Fantastic house with plenty of outdoor spaces. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances, utensils, pots and pans. One bathroom on the main floor was very small but manageable. Comfortable living room and good sized bedrooms.
Great Location! Loved the scenery walking down to the lake. I think more pictures should show the lake access. Loved the fire pit! Inside was very clean. Downstairs bathrooms are very little. But worked fine for us. We learned the hard way, but since there is deck access to every bedroom downstairs,,, do not use those doors at night to go in and out, we had a ton of bugs in one of the rooms the first night and we could not sleep in there. It was funny, but was fine the rest of the time as we learned to use the dining room door in the evenings Very close to Leitchfield and the small gas station for little things and they serve breakfast lunch and dinner every day.

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
Found a snake inside the house and never heard back from the owner.
This is the best place we’ve stayed! Super stocked house, everything was clean and well maintained, as described. Best stocked kitchen I’ve ever rented! A little tricky to navigate the house safely with a toddler, but this is typical of most rental properties. Note that all of the bedrooms have stairs up or down to them, but that is described in the listing. The yard is great, and there is a very steep staircase through the woods that goes down to the lake. The lake is lovely and the setting very peaceful. Only downside is that there isn’t much to do except the lake. All other major attractions and towns (leitchfield doesn’t have much) are 45-60 min away. But this was perfect for what we wanted; a relaxing retreat! We enjoyed the yard, riding kids’ bikes in the driveway and the air conditioned garage, relaxing in the comfortable house, and renting a boat from a local marina!

Felt like home, with access to nature and amenities
This beautiful cabin is nestled in nature at the shore of Rough River Lake and has proximity to neighbors and the charming town of Leitchfield. The house had incredible a/c, which was my top priority in the last week of July, and I got great sleep in a comfy king bed with soft sheets! The kitchen was more than well-stocked, with some tools I don't have in my own home (Smores skewers, avocado pitter). The backyard offers spacious decking with a fire pit and well-built stairs to make the steep yard and walk to the lakeshore accessible. This house would be comfy for a larger group than ours, too; a big dining table in addition to a breakfast nook, spacious living area, and three great bedrooms. And don't forget the air hockey table in the air-conditioned garage, which we got a lot of use out of! My five-year-old describes the house as FUN!We enjoyed a pontoon rental from Nick's Boat Dock (must-do!), a self-guided tour at Mammoth Cave (a UNESCO site), and stopped by Lost River Cave in Bowling Green on our way out of town. Guided tours at Mammoth Cave book up in advance! In Leitchfield, we enjoyed ice cream at Twin Lakes Creamery and dinner from Hometown Hangout.
