The Main Cabin is one of three cabins located on Nichols Lake - a 40-acre no-motor lake with excellent fishing and swimming.

Duck hunting trip

My friends and I stayed here for the opening weekend of duck hunting and it was beautiful there. Plenty of privacy but also close to town. I will definitely recommend this place to others

This is the serene escape I’ve been seeking, located on a family-owned nature land trust with a mirror-glass lake and 8 miles of hiking/walking trails. With only 3 (!!!!)cabins on-site, the silence is complete, filled only with the calls of loons in early morning and evening, interspersed with intermittent laughter and conversation of your distant neighbors. I stayed in the main cabin, the original building, which was immaculate; site host Sue prepared the cabin to welcome my dog, Asti, as well. I am filled with gratitude for this opportunity to stay at Singwikiki, and for the generational foresight and work of Tracey and Sue’s family to maintain it, especially welcoming me to experience it.

Why they chose this property

Singwakiki is a very unique spot in the Northwoods. We are the only dwellings on Nichols Lake and own 3/4 of the shoreline with the rest of the shoreline owned by the state and contains a state beach area with a volleyball court and a playground in the future. In addition, you can walk on our homemade trails to Street Lake where we own several hundred feet of shoreline. Nichols Lake is a non-motor lake so if you are looking for a peaceful spot to vacation, this can't be beat. There is no public boat landing; however, we provide row boats and kayaks with each cabin. We manage our own fishery as well as we can and ask our guests to be mindful of sustainable fishing practices and catch enough to eat but not deplete our stock. Of the 3 cabins on the property, the Main Cabin is more removed from the other cabins (even though it is located between the other cabins and the main house). The Main Cabin has a very cozy feel, especially with the fireplace going.

What makes this property unique

The Main Cabin comes with a row boat and 2 kayaks. In addition, guests can share the paddleboat, canoe, and raft. In sunny weather, our guests typically enjoy their time on the beach and porch. In the case of rainy or chilly weather, our guests will choose to curl up on the porch and watch the rain or build a fire and play games inside the cabin.
