Our stay was great. We were a family of 11 traveling with 5 adult couples & the 6 bedroom/6 bathroom layout was just what we wanted. The hostess & homeowners were very responsive to our needs. Half the week was windy but Chat n Chill on Stocking Island was protected from the wind & waves & the heated pool at the house also helped with those days. The only time we saw anybody on the beach at the house was a couple people walking Friday morning. The bar at the pool with the swings was a great way to socialize with each other both in & out of the water. Would definitely stay here again.

The breakwater house was perfect for our stay. We had 10 adults and 9 children. A bed for every person, and plenty of bathrooms. The outdoor living space was perfect to hang out on the days we didnt have anything planned. We did a lot of cooking to cut down on costs of eating out. Exuma is really expensive, so we had to get creative. We did have Cleo organize a dinner delivered one evening that was great for the group. Make sure you book a boat trip with exuma watersportsm we did a private all day tour and loved every minute of it. The house itself was perfect, yoy wont he disappointed with the location, beach, or amenities. We had everything we needed and some. Thanks for a wonderful stay! We hope to make it back again!!

Perfect Family Getaway!

The house was amazing. The beach was beautiful and private. We only saw 3 other people on the beach the entire time we were there. (We were there for a week). The house had many amenities...floats, umbrellas, chairs, extra sunscreen, bug spray, etc. The owners and house manager were very quick to answer any questions we had. We would definitely come back!

This property was absolutely perfect for our trip. The booking process was easy and communication was great. We received plenty of information prior to our arrival and the property manager met us onsite to give us a warm welcome. There are plenty of amenities on the property and it is very clean. Located perfectly for you to access anything you need with a short drive. Would highly recommend and stay there again.

This property exceeded expectations. From the prompt and thorough communication before our trip to the amazing home and exquisite setting, we all were completely enchanted. There were 13 of us, each couple got their own room and the single ladies shared the bathroom. We had Tevin cater my birthday dinner and he was phenomenal. Another night Cleo arranged for Bahamian food to be delivered. It was delicious! We cooked at the house the rest of our visit and found the kitchen to be well appointed. The only thing I would have changed; sharp knives! The knives were comically dull, but that’s honestly a commonality in vacation rentals. We managed just fine and were all beyond satisfied with our stay there. If you plan on cooking, I encourage you to heed the owners tip of bringing your own food and sundries from home as grocery shopping on the island is expensive. Also, Coco Plum Beach and The Coconut Club are a MUST! We didn’t swim with the pigs and are not sorry about it.My husband and I hope to bring our 5 adult children and their families at some point!

We were a multi generational family of 10 and we had plenty of toom. The house is beautiful and the beach and pool area are spectacular! We only saw 2 people walk by the beach all week! We hated to leave, it was a wonderful trip. I highly recommend this house! We rented the 10 person van from the owners and that made trips to the supermarket, excursions, going out for ice cream easy. The owners are super helpful with anything you might need, including recommendations for dining, excursions. Shopping ect. You won't be sorry, book this house and spend time in paradise.

Amazing Villa!

Thank you so much for hosting our family! The house was so beautiful and the view stunning. We never saw another person on the beach. We travel a lot and everyone was commenting that this was the best equipped house we’ve ever rented. We love the style, so natural and relaxing. The swings in the pool bar were a favorite!

Spring break in Exuma!

We recently returned from our stay at the Breakwater Villa, and we had the best week in Exuma! The house was clean, just as described and the amenities were wonderful. The pool overlooking the beach was by far our favorite feature. The owners were extremely helpful in the planning process and very responsive. We also rented the house van and it played a key role in transporting our party of 11 all over the island. We would absolutely recommend this home! Small note - the screens for the porch were under repair so would highly recommend using the house provided baby oil or insect sprays.

Property looked beautiful from the photos, but we never made it there due to AA.

I am giving the property 5 star review however we actually never were able to make it to the property. American Airlines cancelled all of our flights for several days and they were never able fly us to Exuma to this property, so we were never able to actually check in to the property.

Absolutely INCREDIBLE

We've been to Exuma a few times and this house is PERFECT! The owners have truly thought of everything. The kitchen is very well stocked with spices, pots, pans and absolutely everything you need and well suited for private chefs. The retractable bug nets on the back porch were a nice touch because if you've ever been to exuma you know the bugs can sometimes be out. I highly recommend booking Island Wellness massage to set up in the cabana/spa at the house. We had never stayed in Farmer's Hill before but now prefer it for its central location, half way to the dock were Exuma Water sports leaves from and a 25min drive into George Town and a 10min drive to Grand Isle. Thank you for hosting our family reunion!

Amazing Stay at The Breakwater!

Wow! The Breakwater house went above and beyond in so many ways. The communication with the host was timely and always helpful. We rented their van to use during our stay and I highly recommend using that service. It was at the airport ready for us and it was a quick drive to the house. When we arrived, it felt like we were the first guests staying in the house! Everything was in such great shape and felt brand new. You can tell the owners put a lot of effort into making sure the house is stocked, cleaned, and ready for guests. We had a group of 12 and the house layout was perfect for a large group. All rooms have a bathroom, comfortable beds/bedding, and good air conditioning. The house was so well stocked. They have thought of everything you might need. The owners also provided a great guide with tips, suggestions, and contact information for things to do, places to eat, etc. The pool and beach at the house may have been our favorite part though! We spent so much time outside it was perfect to be out there in the afternoons after a day of exploring the island. The last day we actually decided to stay at the house and enjoy the pool and beach because it was so wonderful. This was our third trip to Exuma and we will definitely stay at The Breakwater again!

Exuma paradise

Absolutely incredible. We traveled with 6 adults and 7 kids under age 7. The house is about 10minutes from the airport, easy to access with taxis. 6 bedrooms and the beds were very comfortable. Large kitchen, large dining space, and large living room space. The outside is obviously the highlight. Very kid friendly pool that directly overlooks the turquoise ocean. Easy access to a beautiful private beach. The sand is clean and soft, warm Caribbean ocean water. There are a few other houses along the beach that also had vacationers but in total we saw less than 10 people on the beach throughout our stay - very private. Cleo, the house manager, was immediately available for any requests during our stay (would recommend stocking up on the large jugs of drinking water only 5 per 5gallon jug). We ordered groceries from Exuma Market which Cleo picked up prior to our arrival. There is a liquor store 1mile from the house and a small market for basic needs a 5minute walk from the house. Overall would recommend without hesitation, we had such an amazing trip! Still dreaming of the view from the pool.

Our new favorite house on Exuma

WOW! Our family frequents Exuma and typically stays on Tar Bay, but not anymore. We loved this house for many reasons. 1. the host was so communicative and responsive. 2. The home was fully stocked with kitchen items (utensils and spices etc). 3.LOCATION! Many times we said we felt like we were on a private island because no one was on our beach. With that being said, we were still very close to liquor store and groceries. We originally booked this house because of the variety of bedroom and sleeping options. Plenty of room for our families to spread out and have privacy but all congregate in the main room. The bug nets were also so nice, if you have been to Exuma, you know that sometimes the No See Ems can be bothersome but this house has it figured out. A few nights we were able to put the kids to bed and enjoy drinking on the patio without being bothered by the bugs but still enjoy the sound of the ocean and amazing weather. Lastly, the home just felt luxurious. The linens, small touches and interior design is something we haven't seen done on the island and it really gives the Bahamian feel. We will definitely be coming back!

The house was as advertised! We had a family of 13 and everyone was pleased with the house and the grounds. The views were pretty spectacular and the beach was basically empty except for us. There was some typical wear and tear on the outdoor furniture, but this is not unexpected and is something we see at just about every house we rent that is on a beach.

We are so excited to share The Breakwater with you! Our family is from Dallas, Texas and we have been coming Exuma for many years. After staying all over the island, we fell in love with this property. The previous owners had groomed the 2-acre property into a palm covered paradise. The views are incomparable and the beach is pristine. It has been perfect for our large extended family, accommodating us all with ease. Trips with our friends have also always been so fun! We spend about two months a year on the island and find the local Bahamians so warm and welcoming. We know you will fall in love with Exuma too!
