BAHAMA BLUE, JIMMY HILL, GREAT EXUMA

Spectacular, beachfront custom one level home with designer furnishings, located directly on one of the most beautiful white sand beaches in Exuma. We are also located in the middle of the Island making it convenient to travel in either direction.

Featuring Travertine floors, Kitchenaid appliances, Glass enclosed tiled showers, Plasma TV's all with Roku boxes with Netflick membership for your enjoyment, Cable TV in living room, board & card games, books and much more. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms, living room & screened porch.

Enjoy the large beachfront screened in porch for dinning and relaxing (rare in rental properties), sit out on our 12' x 45' covered deck or sunbath on our new tiled patio.. Swim right out front in the crystal clear turquoise waters of Exuma.

Exuma offers great fishing, snorkeling, and boating. Golf at Sandal's.Take a full day adventure to see the large iguana's, swimming pigs, and nurse sharks, along with a stop at the mile long sandbar with snorkeling in Thunder Ball Grotto.

There are 3 Kayaks with safety vests ( two 1 seat, one 2 seat ) boogie boards, skim boards, floats, noodles, beach chairs & umbrellas all included for your enjoyment. Since COVID, we do not offer snorkeling equipment anymore.

We provide lots a amenities for you at your arrival, any additional replacement amenities can be purchased at the food store. There’s tea, sugars, salt & pepper, spices, dish detergent, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, trash bags, & much more. All our bathrooms have hotel size amenities, full size Lever soap in showers, & hairdryers. As of February 1, 2022, we will have a Keurig coffee maker, so please bring your K-pods, they are not available on Exuma.

Great Stay at Bahama Blue

Was our 2nd time in Exuma. So we wanted to stay in a diff location. Very convenient - 5 minutes from airport. Gtown is 15/20 minute drive. Recommend renting to drive around/explore the island. Communication with Wendy and team was seamless. Had a few minor issues but everything was addressed in a timely manner. House very well kept, very clean, very organized, well stocked. Beds are comfortable. Screen porch nice to keep out flies. House in a small dev - Casa Del Mar - feels very safe. Has a shared Cabana overlooking ocean to sit out of the sun. Porch on water side is nice spot with Comfy furniture. Tiled terrace below porch has more furniture though not as comfortable. One suggestion would be to trim hedges between the house and the water to provide a little better view of the water while sitting on the porch. It does act as a good buffer for the wind/sand blowing up towards house, but trimming just a bit would make a big difference to see more water while seated. One note as you consider best location in exuma. House is on Jimmy Hill beach. Good beach with beautiful water, however is directly on ocean side so you get more wind and water is rougher. Pros and cons to this. Breeze is amazing, keeps things cool, keeps the flies away. We stayed last year at Tropic of Cancer which is a beautiful picturesque beach with very calm water but the flies were more noticeable. Overall a great stay though and would definitely recommend renting Bahama Blue from Wendy and her team! Thanks!

Paradise!

We just returned from a week stay at Bahama Blue. Everything about this stay was perfect! The house itself is fabulous. It's a five-minute drive from the airport, which is perfect after a long travel day. The house was spotless, spacious, full of light, with gorgeous views from every window. It's very well stocked, including a shed with chairs, umbrellas and some beach toys. It's a one-minute walk from the beautiful back porch down to a beach that was practically private the whole time we were there. Wendy was wonderful to work with. She was so helpful and accommodating, from giving us tips and recommendations on different vendors and restaurants, very specific directions from the airport, and flexing our check -in and out times around our flight times. I sincerely hope we get to return here one day!

Perfect

The house was perfect for our family of 5. The beach was beautiful. There were plenty of beach chairs and floats and even life jackets if you decide to take a kayak out. We rented a boat from Minns for 3 separate days. Definitely money well spent. Not a lot of great food options, but we made do. Santanas in little Exuma was worth the drive of about 50 minutes.

Top 5 Beach/House ever!

The beach was amazing - soft, wonderful sand...the most wonderful blue water...no rocks...and rolling waves to play in. Our family loved this location so much. And on top of it the house was spectacular. Loved the screen porch to hang out in at night and avoid the bugs. The rooms were plenty large, beds comfortable, etc. We cook meals at the house because of food issues and the kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed! It was an amazing week. We have stayed many places over the years and this one topped the list!

Can’t get enough of Exuma!

This is mine and my husband’s third year in a row visiting Exuma. It is just an amazing place! It is a beautiful place and everyone there is so very nice. This year we stayed in a beautiful home called Bahama Blue in Casa Del Mar. Oh my what a beautiful house; 3 bedrooms with each bedroom having it’s own bathroom, comfortable beds, screened in porch, nice patio and right on a private beach. Communication with the owner was very easy and she seemed to be truly committed to my group having a comfortable stay. Thanks! The only thing I could mention is that there was a lot of wear and tear on the screened porch furniture and the beach chairs; a few broken chairs and a small plastic table that collapsed when a beach bag was placed on it. The lounge chairs on the outside patio were in great shape and very comfortable! It was just a great stay, in an amazing house, with gracious hosts.
