Welcome to Peace N' Privacy your home away from home on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Bahama's.

Make this your home to enjoy the unspoiled beauty and charm of Great Exuma with its beautiful beaches, ocean and the warm hospitality from the locals that will bring you back time and time again.

This is your destination for an active family vacation, an adult relaxing retreat or a romantic escape.

Your home is centrally located on Great Exuma located 1/10 of a mile from the airport, 15 minutes from George Town and 10 minutes from the Sandals Resort and Golf Course and Emerald Bay Marina.

Located on the ocean front your home is in a small private development of just 7 units and offers a private pool, Jacuzzi and large patio. The over sized pool and patio offer a range of patio and lounge furniture. Enjoy sunning on a single or double lounge chair or keep cool under one of our 4 umbrellas. You will be tempted to walk the sugar-like white beach to enjoy the solitude and the sea breeze that will remove any stress brought by every day life.

The second floor master bedroom suite has a private bath with a walk in shower a king size bed that faces the large French doors that opens up to your private deck. Enjoy morning coffee on your deck while watching the sunrise over the multi-blue colored ocean.

The second upstairs bedroom suite offers a private bath, deck and queen size bed. The loft is a great place to read and with a Day bed that makes into a King size bed. The main level bedroom offers a private bath, patio and twin beds and is ideal for children or those that want or need one leveling living.

Consider renting a boat to explore Elizabeth Harbor, Stocking Island (join the locals and visitors alike on Sunday for the Pig Roast on Stocking Island at the Chat N' Chill) You will also enjoy Crab Cay and the many other beautiful coves and cays only minutes away. The less adventurous can take one of the water taxis to some of the same places, enjoying the local hospitality at one of the beach bars. The crystalline waters of the entire Harbor offer excellent snorkeling. (Elizabeth Harbor is one of the premier cruising destinations in the world.) Fishermen will enjoy fishing for large bonefish nearby by wading flats or from a boat, either on your own or with a guide. In addition, great deep sea fishing is only minutes away, available by charter. Scuba diving is also available.

Be sure to explore Little Exuma and keep your eye out for Johnny Depp or other members of the cast of Pirates of The Caribbean.

The new Sandals Resort (formerly Four Seasons), offers a Greg Norman designed Golf Course, spa and Marina.

A number of grocery stores in George Town stock all the items you will need for a vacation, but you will certainly want to eat out at the many wonderful local restaurants. We have provided a guest book with information on transportation, restaurants, night spots and things to do so you may fully enjoy Great Exuma.

The view was spectacular! This was exactly what we were looking for. A long private secluded beach that had good swimming with beautiful sand. The pictures do not do it justice. The unit is more spacious than you can appreciate from a website. The master suite and ensuite had so much room for my tall husband. The kitchen had ample counter space for multiple people to prepare food. The floor to ceiling windows provided a panoramic view of relaxing turquoise water. Very happy with our experience.

Incredible Place to Stay

This place is even better than the pictures! It was one of the cleanest places we've stayed, very comfortable, and had all the amenities we could want. The pool and hot tub were perfect, just steps from the back door, and the beach was incredible. Rooms were all spacious with updated furniture. We hope to be back again soon!

The house was perfect. Perfect size, location, and had everything we needed. The view was amazing. Very nice and quiet. Beautiful sunrise from the back porch. 3 bedrooms, but theres an extra area with another bed for a couple. All the bedrooms have their own bathroom, and there’s an extra bathroom next to the leaving room. The only reason i dont give it 5 stars, it because the bathroom in the second bedroom upstairs needs some renovation. Little waters comes out of the shower. Took a shower in the bathroom downstairs every day. But… i loved and enjoyed my stay

Maryelis, Thank you for your kind words and great review. We are sorry for the shower issue that you experienced. As you may know, the city shut down the water sometime during your stay and we had pressure issues for some time following this event. We also have replaced the shower diverter that may have been the real problem. However, it was not until your review were we aware of the issue. Our on property caretaker said he was not notified that you had a problem. I believe that the water is not flowing much better. Hope you will come back and give it another try. Billy

We had an amazing 8 days at this property 7/20-27. The house is beautiful and well maintained. The view out back is absolutely stunning! Everything was clean and comfortable for all of us- 4 adults and 2 kids. Plenty of sheets, towels, blankets, beach towels, and kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals (restaurants on the island are pricey and are sometimes limited on menu items). House had a cooler for the beach, gas grill, and provided some laundry soap(washer and dryer in unit are great!)/hand soaps. Back patio was perfect for relaxing and very comfortable. House manager and maid service were very accommodating considering we needed to drop off our luggage before check in. We had family staying in an adjacent unit and it was perfect! Centrally located on the island and very close to the airport. This was our 5th time to Exuma and our 2nd time staying at Peace N' Privacy. I would definitely recommend this unit! You will not be dissapointed!

Great stay in Jimmy Hill

This was my 4th trip to Exuma, but first stay at this property. I traveled with my mom, sister, and niece. We had a great stay. The property is in a good central location on the island, and was just what we needed. Check in/out was seamless, and the host was gracious enough to let us check in early and check out late due to our flight schedule. We got a lot of use out of the pool, as it was a little windy during our stay. We were still in the ocean often, but it wasn’t as calm as some other beaches on Great Exuma that are in more protected areas. The house was generally in good condition. The only cons were that the door handle to the upstairs bedroom (not the master) was broken on the inside, so if I closed the door, I was stuck until someone could open it from the other side. The WiFi is also almost non existent on the second floor, and the tv in the master didn’t work. None of these were really an issue for us, just things we noticed. This unit is also the least expensive in the complex, and I wasn’t expecting perfection. Overall, we had a great stay and I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home and property. Pool was amazing as well as the view. Ocean colors were so gorgeous- different shades of blue. Unfortunately it was pretty windy while we were there so actually going into the ocean was difficult due to the waves. But it was still beautiful. Found a couple other beaches close by that were calmer and spent hours there. Georgetown close by as well as the airport. Plenty of loungers and umbrellas for shade around the pool. We used the grill and kitchen a lot to make food. Everything you need is right there. Owner and caretaker of the villa were very prompt with any concerns. Excellent communication also. Would highly recommend and we were so sad to go. Just beautiful. Owen family

Fantastic Location

This property is about 1/10th of a mile from the airport. You are centrally located to be able to travel a short distance north to Exuma Point Beach (which is gorgeous) and a short distance south to Georgetown and to several close by beaches. The overall accomodations were great. There were a couple of small details (guest bathroom door wouldn't stay shut, blinds weren't on the downstairs sliding doors so it was blinding at times and people can see in). HOWEVER, the rooms are spacious, clean and accommodated our family of six perfectly! The pool and hot tub are great! The landscaping is beautiful and well maintained. The ocean is a bit rougher outside the complex and not a place where you can snorkel, but there are soooo many beaches close by that are more calm so that wasn't a biggy. The ocean view is just wonderful! I highly recommend this location. My biggest advice is to pack a suitcase of peanut butter, salty and sweet snacks, mustard, ketchup, coffee, dry creamer, laundry detergent/dryer sheets, mac-n-cheese, a lot of sunscreen and aloe gel. The local food is great but can break the bank. Bread, milk, cheese, water, soda, beer and anything else you might purchase at any of the markets are are 3-5x more than you will pay in the states, but our family would come back and stay in the same location again.

Thank you for the great review. As you know we do supply all the laundry, dishwasher, dish soap and bathing soap for your stay. So, I hope you did not have to buy more. Exuma is an Island and everything must be imported and does add to the costs. So the next time I know you will pack a few more items to defray some of the expense. If you do, be sure to put them in your checked luggage or TSA will be enjoying your food! I know this from experience Thank you and I look forward to your next visit.

Great Option for Families

Great place. Owner very friendly and easy to communicate with. This worked out perfect for my family of 4 (2 teenage boys). Each had their own bedroom /bathroom and they were happy boys and we were happy parents!!! The outside amenities were awesome - pool/hot tub were clean, we used the grill on the patio and beaches were perfect for walks and so private. It was extremely windy in April- so swimming was too rough but my son caught fish right off the beach everyday- including a bonefish! You need a car to explore the island and get to restaurants and supplies. Georgetown is just a 20 minute drive- and there are plenty of restaurants. Three small requests for improvement would be (1) to have some water stocked for guests when they arrive- as we arrived after the stores closed, (2) kitchen baking supplies were slim and (3) have a list of preferred contacts available at the house for restaurants, stores, boat rentals, charter fishing and island tours. PS: avoid Rowe Fishing Charters. However we had a great day bottom fishing with Evies/Captain Greg and also boat rentals from Mimms are a must! Loved this property and would highly recommend it to all!!!

What an amazing stay we had here. The unit is beautiful with comfy beds, pillows and plenty of towels. They have a cooler and there’s an ice machine in the community laundry room across the roundabout towards the left side apartments. Coffee machine that require filters which they had, blender all pots and pans you’ll need. They had a few selections of spices. Groceries cost double of what you pay back in the states. 1 twin bedroom on first floor with twin beds and a full bath with a no threshold walk in shower. Unit was clean when I arrived with no issues. WiFi is slower and does not reach 2nd floor at all is the only thing that needs improved. Laundry room is on first floor in unit. Grocery stores nearby with a good stretch of road to get to it. Unlike lots of down towards Little Exuma. Roads have been replaced on this stretch of queens highway where this unit is located. The roads get real bad as you head down towards Georgetown harbor. Some of the roads that takes you to some rentals are brutal. Not here. House taker lives on site and is a nice gentleman. The pool is relaxing with a wonderful view. Host took care of some maintenance issues promptly. I’ll stay here again when in Exuma again. The water is so beautiful pictures can not do it justice. You have to see it to fully believe it.

Amazing Property and Location!

We had an amazing vacation at this townhome. It's location was great. Less than 5 minutes from the airport, and a short drive to a number of very good restaurants. The pool and beach are perfect! The beach was virtually private with only a couple of people. The home had everything you need and really was paradise! The kitchen had everything needed. The pictures don't do it justice, as in person, the home is much nicer. We will definitely plan another stay soon.

An accurate review of property and owner.

This was our first trip to Exuma. We love the island. The Natives are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. However, the owner(s) of this property aren't as gracious including the caretaker. The property is for sale, which may explain why the property needs a lot of work, meaning the owner(s) doesn't want to fix or repair anything. The caretaker was honest enough to tell me this. We've used VRBO for many vacations (Turks and Caicos, Antigua, and other islands), and never had an issue. We were very disappointed with this property. Guest Please read the reviews before and after this guest. We are dedicated to offering the best experience possible, when things to go amiss we respond quickly to try and remedy any issue. To be sure that we are trying to meet our guests highest expectations, I wanted to clearly understand what happened and our response. To that end I have completed a time line to include your issues and our response. • You checked in late afternoon on January 5, 2021 • At 10:57 pm you emailed me that your refrigerator was not cooling properly and that one of the Master bedroom ceiling fans were making a clacking sound. • I replied shortly thereafter and explained that it was a new refrigerator and that on Sunday June 6th I would have our caretaker, who lives on site, check the refrigerator. I also informed you that the one fan making noise could be shut off, thus leaving one working fan along with the AC. • On Sunday June 6th we attempted to find issue with the new refrigerator and later found out that someone placed the fridge in “vacation” mode. We provided a cooler and ice until resolved. • On Sunday June 6th you also reported that you had set the lower level AC unit to 72 but the temperature gage registered 76. • Our care taker brought additional fans and instructed you to place one unit in the upstairs hallway (where another AC unit was working) and that would blow more cooler air downstairs. • As you know we have working ceiling fans in all bedrooms and in the dinning and great room to aid cooling and air circulation. • On Monday June 7th the Island’s (only) AC repairman spent most of the day to get the lower AC unit working but determined that we had to replace the condenser. We immediately ordered the condenser for the lower AC Unit to be sure it would cool the lover level from 76 to your desired 72 (this could have been accomplished if you had used the fan we provided to send the cooler air from upstairs downstairs). • The condenser was replaced and working by June 10.. • The refrigerator was working properly June 6 with the proper setting mode (the freezer was working as per vacation mode keeping the refrigerator temp at about 40 degrees). • We installed new fans in the Master Bedroom June 7. We certainly agree that this was truly an inconvenience, even after all of our good intentions to mitigate and make all necessary fixes and repairs.

Breathtaking and Peaceful

The view is absolutely amazing, and the location convenient! The property itself is very clean, well appointed and was definitely enough space for our group of seven (four adults and three children). The property manager was extremely helpful and always available. The pool and grounds are very clean and well-maintained. Even though several villas share the pool and pool deck, it never felt crowded and was always clean and quiet. The beach is breathtaking and almost always empty. On my morning walks, I might pass one or two people at most, and often saw no one. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone we know, and would definitely stay here again.

Incredible Location

This was our second stay at this location but first time in this particular condo. You absolutely cannot beat this location! Literally minutes away from the Airport. The ocean and infinity pool are just steps away. The entire property is beautifully maintained. The caretaker and his team do an amazing job keeping everything pristine. One of the workers even brought us fresh coconuts to drink!! The condo is well appointed. The kitchen had all the basic essentials needed for us to cook dinner for a few nights. The knives were some of the sharpest that I had seen in a rental. I was also extremely impressed to see bath soap, toilet paper, paper towels and hand sanitizer.( thank you COVID) These are items that you never usually get, let alone extra. The owner Billy was very flexible, given the current situation and very understanding. We had to add a day at one point and then had to move the entire reservation. He made it very easy and we were always able to get in contact with him. Apparently we lucked out on our timing as the Prime Minister decided to shut down access to The Bahamas due to the current situation. We are so thankful and appreciative that we and our travel companions were able to make it back to this beautiful Island. There is truly no place else like it. We look forward to our next trip back to Exuma and staying at the Peace N Privacy again!

Everything about the villa was perfect...from communication with the owner to the property manager and the grounds keeper! Everyone we came across in Exuma was so extremely nice and pleasant. Will definitely stay again at Peace n Privacy when we go back to Exuma.

The white sand beeches beautifully contrast with the multi hued blue ocean. The locals are friendly folks that make you feel at home.
