Welcome to Lanny Lodge, a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom house in Olympic Valley and super close to Palisades Village -- either a 3 minute drive or a 15 minute walk. on the Free Mountaineer Shuttle route! Spacious floor plan and huge outdoor deck perfect for entertaining. Upstairs you will have 3 bedrooms and a full bathroom; downstairs you will have 1 bedroom, a full bathroom, kitchen, and combined living/dining space leading to deck. Upper deck connects two bedrooms. Two spaces for working remotely (one dedicated). Strong reliable WiFi clocked at over 300 mbps. Parking for 3 cars.

Everything was amazing - everything was very clean and organized! Huge mudroom which was perfect with dogs! Check in process was a breeze and the host was reachable for anything. You’ll always have a phone charger - each room is supplied with 1-2 charging outlets. This location is perfect for both hiking activities and lake activities - and the views our perfect! Already hoping to return :)

Great location and clean!

The house was clean, well supplied and just like the listing. We were very happy with our stay. The house was great and the owners were so responsive and easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again. It would be our ideal location for ski season being so close to the village.

Top quality comfort in a serene setting

My stay at the end of the ski season was outstanding! Recent upgrades to appliances, great office setups, outstanding linens and furnishings. Every detail, down to the glassware was beyond expectations. The views from the back deck in the evenings were fantastic, I didn’t want to leave! Thank you so much for making my birthday retreat a fantastic one!

Excellent Location for Skiing

The house is a very short drive to Palisades and Alpine Meadows Ski Resort so you avoid a lot of traffic. The house is not large, but you don't need a big place if you are spending most of the day on the slopes. Appliances, carpet and bathrooms appeared to have been recently upgraded. The beds are very comfortable and the children loved having Apple Play on the TV in one of the bedrooms with bunk beds. There is a computer and desk in the downstairs bedroom if you need to work. The ski clothing and equipment could be stored in a secured area before entering into the house. The only cons are that the the kitchen is very small and the doors could use some re-finishing work. Also, there was no wood for the fireplace so we had to purchase some. The owner/manager is an excellent communicator. . .always responding to messages and providing tips. She should be considered a super host.

Thank you for your review, Linda! Just need to clarify a few things: the upstairs bunk room has a flatscreen TV with Apple TV (not Apple Play). Also, there are two work spaces: one dedicated upstairs off the king bedroom and one shared downstairs. Both spaces have desks and monitors, but we do not supply computers. Lastly, we typically leave a Duraflame firelog for each night of your stay but the cleaners must have forgotten. Sorry! Thanks again for the great review!

Love this place!

I loved my stay at Lanny Lane. It’s very tranquil and private with lovely views of trees from the windows, and a large deck right off the living room. The beds and pillows are really comfortable, and there were plenty of fresh white towels and even washcloths! The kitchen has a good set of pots and pans, plenty of silverware, dishes, and glasses, really everything you need. The living room was comfortable and cozy, with a great sofa and a rocking chair I enjoyed sitting and reading in. They have a nice touch that I haven’t seen before: a little white charger for multiple electronic devises to plug into on the kitchen bar counter and on the bedside tables. I have to find out where to get these and get some for my home. The whole house was very clean, which I appreciated. You enter into a mud room, where you can leave your shoes and coats, which I’m sure helps keep the floors clean. The location can’t be beat. It wasn’t snowing when we were there, and the weather was great for long walks and hikes. If you don’t feel like getting in your car, right across the street is a very long pathway that actually goes all the way into Tahoe City. We didn’t walk that far, but did a very refreshing 4 mile walk. It was a wonderful escape from the city! Can’t wait to return.
