Private oasis

Our family of 7 LOVED our stay. The house is super private while still being conveniently located. It is well appointed throughout with all the comforts of home. The only thing I missed in our 5 day stay was a pot holder and a baking dish! This house pleases kids and adults alike. If we ever need to come to Tampa area again I will look no further than this house!

Not the quality family spot we were hoping for

We booked this more expensive estate hoping to have a small birthday pool party weekend for our son who was turning ten. The photos of the house looked gorgeous and we were very excited about the pool being a heated saltwater pool according to the lady we were booking it with. We were truly hoping for a clean, comfortable, quality/luxurious and safe, fun stay. Well, before we even arrived, on our way to the property we realized the area where the house was located was not the best. We felt very uncomfortable and disappointed about the area. It is very run down with mobile home parks and near a highway overpass if I’m remembering correctly, and it just didn’t feel very comfortable, safe and definitely not homey. So our first impression was that the area felt unsafe and I felt badly that a couple of our family and friends may feel similarly when coming to visit for the birthday. Then when we arrived the luxury gate to enter the property was not working and we had to call to discover (we were not told ahead of time) thar we needed to get out of the car to manually open it, when at the same time she mentioned the dryer (for a pool home) was not functioning Then we got to the property and it just didn’t have that same gleam as in the photos. There were mosquitoes inside in the upstairs bathroom. And the pool/patio deck had used cigarette butts around pool. The sink/disposal smelled poorly and the couch downstairs felt dingy. Def not luxury in our experience & we left.

Almost perfect but not quite

My family stayed at this property for Spring Break; it was almost a perfect stay. The home is beautiful-just as pictured. The owner was very responsive to any comm before and after arrival. The location is nice, super clean, secluded yet near enough restaurants and stores. However, there are a few things that could have made the visit better. The kitchen was well appointed; however, missing were simple things like a can opener, a corkscrew for wine, and cooking utensils suitable for nonstick pans beyond just 1 big plastic spoon. The washing machine and dryer are a great addition; however, the ring of mold inside the inner seal of the washing machine was a turnoff. The secluded location is great because it has a gate at the driveway with a keypad for entry. However, the chain on the gate is broken and you have to get out of the car and manually open and close the gate. This got annoying really fast over the week-long visit. And if you have a food delivery, you have to go down the extremely long driveway to open/close the gate. The upstairs king bedroom has no curtains on the front window and the lights from outside light up the room all night long. Not to mention there's no privacy! There also are no curtains or blinds on the window for the attached bathroom. Those are all easy fixes. The pool doesn't have a cage so it stays dirty with leaves and debris. The auto pool cleaner didn't work and there is no pool skimmer available so I could do it myself.
