We stayed six nights in the historic penthouse, which was a lovely little pied-à-terre in downtown Spirit Lake. We loved the open space and felt comfortable and at home. The bed was comfortable. We didn't get to use the outdoor patio since the weather was wonky, but we live in AZ so it was nice to see clouds and rain! FYI, I asked the hosts about lukewarm water in the shower, but that was only on the handheld shower side, the other showerhead allows for nice hot showers. The kitchen and bathroom had what we needed, but Brickle Coffee across the street had 3 lattes, which is a steal! A great Mexican restaurant is also steps away and Annie's Country Kitchen is a short walk through the park and has great service and yummy, fluffy pancakes. The grocery store is also really close. We'll stay again when we come back to visit family.

Maine Street Penthouse was wonderful!

Everything about the property was great. Convenient to Silverwood, comfortable very clean, very unique and historic and quiet and private. Only one drawback. The hot water was just past lukewarm. Not got for showers or doing dishes. Would return and recommend.

Spirit Lake- Penthouse

The property was in the middle of the quaint town of Spirit Lake. Great location for us. Property clean, well organized, great wifi, comfy bed & beautiful view. The penthouse is on second floor- so pack light or/ use multiple suitcases vs 1large. Other than the steps - it was perfect! Thanks for sharing- I would recommend this unit. Regards: Tammy

We were excited to stay at the Spirit Lake Penthouse, and upon arrival was not disappointed. This is a well maintained and attractive rental with all the amenities of home. Forget something? Probably not a problem as many of the small details are provided. Beds are wonderfully comfortable, and relaxing on the patio was a favorite activity at the end of the day. We were in the area for a trip to Silverwood, and the 15 min. drive was perfect. Also a shout out to the local pizza place, Dark Horse Pizza, for some excellent pie and one of the best Mediterranean salads ever created. We will absolutely stay here again if even remotely in the area.

Highly Recommended!

My family had to travel from Kalispell, MT to Lewiston, Idaho for a very important medical appointment for our son and needed a place to stay roughly about half way to limit our travel time. This place was a gem in a really wonderful and quiet area. Unfortunately due to time on the road for our son's appointment, we had limited time to explore the area but plan to return! The place itself was very clean, accommodating and comfortable. The open floorplan and multiple bed options were excellent for our kids. While I highly recommend this place to anyone, I especially recommend it to families. My son is a huge WWII enthusiast and really enjoyed all of the books on the bookshelf! We look forward to rebooking this place in the future when we have more time to explore!

Thank you so much for your beautiful review. We’re honored that you chose our home as a stop during such an important trip for your family. It means the world to hear that the space was clean, comfortable, and worked well for your kids—especially that your son enjoyed the WWII books! We’re so glad the layout made things a little easier during your travels, and we would be absolutely delighted to welcome you back anytime. Wishing your son all the best in his recovery and future appointments!

Home away from home

We live here in Spirit Lake and were having drywall work done and we rented this VRBO for 12 days. It was nice to be only 5 miles from home as we had to go home to tend to our fur babies! We enjoyed the comfort of home we felt here. Only suggestions i would make is the loft sleeps 6 but there are only 3 dishes in the set. Since we were there 12 nights, i cooked most meals and the pots and pans supply was not great but i had the luxury of grabbing some things from home. Only other issue is if you are a light sleeper dont plan on sleeping in! The physical therapy office below opens at 5 and you can hear everything! The hardware store uses a fork lift to bring pallets out to the curb every morning and the reverse beep gets annoying LOL! BUT..... these issues would not keep me us from going back! We did truly appreciate the comforts of home like having a washer and dryer!! The management staff was amazing as well!

Thank you so much for staying with us Michelle. We are so sorry to hear about the town noise waking you! We are in the process of adding some more dishes to the kitchen to ensure there is enough for everyone, so thank you for the feedback! It was a pleasure hosting you and we look forward to hosting you again!

The bed is amazingly comfortable and spacious, comfortable, clean apartment. Bring your own tea and creamers for the coffee maker unless you like it black. I preferred the coffee shop across the street but if you are a coffee right after you wake up kind of person, come prepared. The laundry and extra toilet is a convenient bonus.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was charming, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The location was perfect—close to everything we wanted to do while still feeling peaceful and welcoming. The hosts were exceptional. Their communication was prompt, friendly, and helpful from the time we booked until checkout, which made the entire experience stress-free. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to book this property again. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a great place to stay!
