Double Booked, Zero Communication, Left to Stand in the Cold & Rain!
We arrived at the property at 10pm and upon opening the "Here are the keys to your arrival email" I realized we had no code to enter the property. I called the property manager's number. It went to voicemail and voicemail was full. The car service dropped us off and it was raining and very cold outside. After several tries to the property manager's number he FINALLY answered and told us the property had been double booked. After saying several times "this has never happened before" - he promised to help us find a solution/another property and would call us back. We told him to please try ANYTHING as we were standing in the cold and rain. All the while - we were searching for nearby hotels and other properties on our own. There were several conventions in town and hotels in the area were full so it took us awhile. We called VRBO as well and after a 20 min conversation - were fully refunded. We finally found our own hotel and were able to book it and get an driver to take us there. The guests already checked in said they booked through another home rental service and kindly allowed us to wait inside the warm/dry entry for the final 15 minutes of our 45 minute search for help. Again, property manager NEVER.CALLED.BACK. He knew we were stranded, he immediately knew it was double booked and never bothered to warn us ahead of time. Do not use this property manager.
