Tucked away in Misty Mountain escape Blowing Rock crowds and enjoy wonderful solitude and premiere comfort; most private setting with majestic views of Grandfather Mountain.

Two level cottage with master bedroom and bath on main level, spacious kitchen, large, cozy den with old stone gas fireplace and ample dining area. Panoramic view of Grandfather from most rooms.

Over-sized family rooms on both levels giving guests lots of space. TVs galore and a game table.

Downstairs room has sleeper couch for additional guests. .

New bathrooms in 2023 and entire house freshly painted with new and chic decor.

Relaxing porches on both levels with huge mountain views.

Downstairs has two bedrooms, king size bed in room looking out to Grandfather, 2nd bedroom has two twins, Jack-and-Jill bath and well appointed family room.

Washer and dryer space at the bottom of the stairs, gas fire logs.

Bramble Cottage has a flat and easily accessible entrance.

This home is highest property on Holly Lane and the setting is very private.

Misty Mountain is an upscale neighborhood with miles of walk-able roads and stunning views. Your own private trail for adventurers to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Close to Westglow Inn and Spa that offers a full menu of relaxation, brand new Daingerfield restaurant, 4 miles from downtown Blowing Rock, close to Broyhill Stables and easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and near by trails. Close to all ski resorts.

Great location. close to Blue Ridge Parkway and Blowing Rock. Great deck view of Grandfather Mountain. Downstairs living room was great for kids or second couple. Kitchen was large and well supplied. TV is streaming only which was no problem for us.

What a haven ! I spent 3 weeks at the cabin and could have stayed longer. Secluded without making feel you were alone in the woods. Just 5 miles from the heart of town. I had 5 friends come for a few days and the space accommodated us perfectly ! The porch overlooking Grandfather Mountain became my space to pray, think and just enjoy peace. It was perfect for my early morning cup of coffee and my evening glass of wine. Sandy was fantastic!

Bramble Cottage is a comfortable classic NC mountain cabin - just what we were looking for! You can park your vehicle right at the front door to make unloading and loading very easy. A real perk. We enjoyed views of the back side of Grandfather Mountain both from inside the cabin and outside while enjoying time on the deck. There is a nicely stocked kitchen, a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Blowing Rock, excellent walking on the quiet roads of Misty Mountain development (with more tremendous views), close to Moses Cone State Park with all its trails and activities and the Blue Ridge Parkway entrance just a couple miles away. Owner Sandy was VERY responsive to our questions and tips on local restaurants. We would definitely stay at the cabin again.

July 4th stay

Bramble Cottage is amazing. The views are the best we have had at any mountain stay. Loved sitting on the porch in the morning and gazing at the mountains. Had one small issue with the water, but Sandy responded immediately and was taken care of. This will be our go to cabin on any stays in Blowing Rock!

Absolutely Fabulous

We had an absolutely fabulous stay here. Very easy to get to; close to town and activities but very quiet and tranquil neighborhood. The view is amazing! The Owner was very helpful and responsive. We'd love to come back and bring family or friends to share this cottage.

Grandfather Mountain Blowing Rock

Beautiful location with a view of Grandfather Mountain. Spent Wednesday evening to Monday morning!! We were attending the Highland Games and visiting Blowing Rock!! Perfect location. 25 min down the parkway to Linville and 10 min to downtown Blowing Rock!! Also side trip to Boone!!

Great house

Our stay at the Bramble Cottage was great! There’s plenty of room and the kitchen was well stocked. We didn’t have any problems and the communication leading up to our trip and while we were there had very fast response. It’s a cute house with a great view!

Property was cute but several items did not work well on arrival. They were addressed quickly by the owner, who is a really nice person, but basic maintenance really should have been addressed before we arrived. The cleanliness of the home in a few places could have been better but it was passable. The road to the home was a bit challenging in inclement weather but this is certainly a personal opinion based on the skill of the driver. Overall this was an average stay.

We returned to our home state after living in Florida for 38 years, My husband and I spent our youth in Greensboro NC until we both left for college, then marriage and followed our careers. Richard practiced law while I pursued art (you will see my paintings throughout the house).

We love the high country, the hiking, and nature and would live nowhere else. As travelers, we have seen the world and feel Blowing Rock is a very special place surrounded with breathtaking scenery and small town comfort.

Why they chose this property

We never tire of the views throughout Misty Mountain. This special mountain was originally owned by the Coffey clan until a prospective land developer purchased it in the 1970s - Gaylord Williams. He carved out the roads and lots and the rest is history. He was a highly successful developer because of his talent for picking beautiful sites!

What makes this property unique

This unassuming cabin has an incredible view of Grandfather Mountain while nestled among nature. It's a very private property surrounded by undeveloped land. Guests are up close to nature.
