Perfect Home Base

Wildcat Cottage was as described and served as a perfect home base for our explorations in Olympic National Park and beyond. We especially enjoyed the view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca / Salish Sea, which made for lovely sunsets!

We enjoyed our stay at the Wildcat Cottage. The location was great for all of our Olympic National Park exploring. Everything inside felt updated, new, and clean. Having the view across to Canada at the kitchen window was lovely. The hosts were accommodating and helpful when we had a little trouble with the AC. Overall we would definitely recommend!

Wonderful home and friendly hosts!

We had a wonderful time at Wildcat cottage and we will definitely be back! It's a beautiful home, only a few years old with new finishes. It was very comfortable and in a beautiful setting. The hosts were friendly and helpful and there to help at a moment's notice.

Fantastic!

The house is really nice, with great views and was a comfortable home base for our 20th anniversary trip. The hosts were even better! When our lodging for the second half of our trip in a different town in the peninsula fell through they immediately said we could stay at the place for the rest of our trip, and they even brought us delicious, homemade smoked brisket! So glad we stayed here the whole trip and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place near Port Angeles.

Great Place to Stay to Explore Parks

We were very happy with our stay at Wildcat Cottage. It's beautifully-decorated and the bed was very comfortable, as were the rest of the spaces. The host was very responsive and helpful with recommendations for hikes. It's location was convenient for enjoying restaurants in Port Angeles and was centrally-located for hiking day trips. Highly recommend!

Great stay

We loved our stay! The view from the kitchen window is stunning! You can see the sunset over the water in the distance. The location to Port Angeles and Olympic National park could not have been better. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we were back in the area. We were a group of 4 adults, the two who stayed on the pull out couch said they slept very well.

Lovely!

Beautiful area and grounds, pleasant and comfortable house. Incredibly easy to get into the national park or into town for groceries and restaurants. Note that the bed is extra tall (might be a challenge if you have accessibility needs), but everything was very cozy!

Perfect Family Getaway with Stunning Views!

We had a remarkable stay at Wild Cat Cottage. The cottage was in a remote location with an excellent view, in perfect proximity to visit all of the North Olympic N.P. sites on our family's agenda. Close to town (but not too close) to get supplies and make home-cooked meals. The hosts were excellent and interacted with our children (10 & 12 years old) giving them a homestead tour making us feel extra welcome and right at home away from home.

Perfect location

We needed a place that was halfway between PA and our family home on Lake Sutherland. This was a great place for my elderly parents to stay and have their "own place" to relax and get ready for the day without the disruptions of all the guests and family we had at our place on the lake. Beautiful and spacious property and easy to access. Great views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca from the kitchen window. Thanks for sharing. Hope to come back and stay again.

Perfect base camp to explore everything Olympic has to offer. The cottage has a great view, was very clean and had everything we needed to feel like home. It is only a few minutes to Port Angeles which is the local hub for shopping and restaurants. Also only 20 minutes from some of the most beautiful places in Olympic such as crescent lake.

Absolutely excellent - my only suggestion would be to increase the number of saucepans in the kitchen for those who like to cook complex meals. The location is perfect for the Olympic national park - can strongly recommend it.

Excellent property to stay.Well kept. Host's did a very nice job with the home. Now the drawbacks. Getting to the property off the main road may leave you to question the surroundings. Secondly the kitchen lacked certain essentials.

My husband and I were born and raised here on the olympic peninsula . We are both professional in the community and live here on the 5 acre property . We just finished building our homes a year ago . Now we are working on our orchard and landscaping . We love being in this sweet location between town the beautiful lakes, rivers and oceans . We do have free range chickens a friendly Aussie and a few kitties that may visit down at the cottage 😁

This property is in the prime location of an outdoor enthusiasts. Across from our driveway there is also a beautiful hiking trail that leads to a seasonal stream /waterfall .
