The house was cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed. Right on the lake -- great views and access. We enjoyed using the kayaks. Great time to visit -- quiet and beautiful. We will stay here again!
We had the best time enjoying the lake, gorgeous views, kayaks, paddle boarding, hot tub, and fire pit. The home was clean and comfortable - good communication with the hosts. Great home base to explore the beautiful park and unwind after!
Booked for a little winter getaway and were very pleased with this stay. It was very clean and easy to access and the location is very convenient. The hosts even gave us access to the kayaks (even though it was late November) and we enjoyed a little winter excursion on the water. Thank you!
The cabin was just as described, very lovely and well-stocked with everything needed, especially in the kitchen. Nice cookware. Location was gorgeous and so peaceful. We didn’t use the hot tub, as it needed a little cleaning, but overall, we had a lovely stay.
Amazing location, house provided everything you could possibly need and so comfortable. Friendly community and awesome neighbors. Can’t wait for next summer’s stay!
The place was very clean and with character. We also had a beautiful view of the lake and having a dock to relax on was fantastic. We also really liked the kayaks and paddle boards!!! Overall we enjoyed our stay.
This home was wonderful, had everything you needed and the view was AMAZING!! I would recommend this home over and over and we hope to be able to come back and stay again because we will surely miss this place!
This is a fabulous place to stay! The home is beautiful and comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked and the view of the water is breath-taking. We had a great time exploring the area and just sitting on the deck, watching the otters and ducks. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place!

Everything was good. The house looks just like at the pictures.
This was a great place for our family; especially, the outside area. Everything was great and as advertised. The only issue as I had read in previous comments was getting someone to answer the phone for arrival but we were able to get in fine. Great place!
Everything was exactly as adverstised and was absolutely fantastic! Traveled with my parents (70/65) and two sons (9/7). It was a perfect jumping off point for our Olympic National Park 70th Birthday extravaganza. It was much closer to both Granny's Cafe and The Lodge than I had anticipated which ended up being a great thing. The spa was a perfect way to relax before dinner and the patio was perfect for our morning coffee. Thank you for the great stay!

Thanks Leslie,
Glad you had a great time with your family and enjoyed the Park, Lake Crescent Lodge & Granny's Cafe of course!
We enjoy sharing our home with others so they can make family memories too, just like we have done over the years. Our two kids are in their 30's now, busy with their own families. So we don't get to use the Lakehouse as much as we did we when they were in middle & high school years.

We loved our stay on Lake Sutherland. While the weather wasn’t always perfect, we were still able to enjoy the beautiful lake views and venture out on some nearby hikes! This cabin has everything you need, was clean, and clearly well maintained. We hope to come back again next year!

About the host
Hosted by Ron & Andrea Gilles
The Lake house has been in our family since 2003 allowing both of our children to enjoy the summers on the lake. It's been a favorite getaway for my wife and I on the weekends during the winter months to enjoy the peacefulness of the lake. Also a favorite place for our family to enjoy the Holidays - Thanksgiving & Christmas - the more snow the better! One Christmas our son Brendon snowboarded off the roof of the garage, we had so much snow! Our main home is in Sequim, WA just 45 minutes away so it is a quick getaway. I personally enjoy the Hot Tub at night under the amazing stars that out on a clear night or in the morning with a cup of coffee at while gazing at snow line on Mt. Storm King on the South side of the lake. Lake Sutherland from our deck has been described by a friend as 'just like being on Lake Como in Italy'! The Lake house is on the Sunny Side of the Lake, so it's very enjoyable year round.
Why they chose this property
Family memories and my Father-in-law wanted his grand kids to expierence growing up on a lake. Because he grew up on Lake Washington in Seattle. Personal Birthday parties with live bands down at the Maple Grove community docks.
What makes this property unique
Swimming at midnight under the stars, waterskiing, fishing, powerboating and wine & cheese boat cruising, hiking on the Spruce Railroad Trail at Lake Crescent or Marymere Falls. Enjoying a faboulous hamburger at the Lake Crescent Lodge.
