This renovated mid-century home located on a bluff directly above the the Strait of Juan de Fuca facing north to Victoria.The home has original teak furniture from the 1960's even a pink bathroom! Enjoy watching cruise ships, freighters, and the lights of Victoria from the living room, master bedroom , kitchen and dining room. Sit outside and watch an eagle catch it's dinner or activity at the Coast Guard Station. Enjoy the 3 acres of meadow and forrest with ample room to park a boat or trailer. This 3 bedroom home has a fully equipped kitchen, large living room and propane fireplace. Two bedrooms have queen sized beds and one bedroom with a single bed.
* We meet all our guests promptly at 4PM day of arrival
*There is NO wifi and NO cable tv provided at this property but your
personal WIFi on your phone, laptop or pad should work fine
depending on your carrier.
* No pets inside or out.
* All guests must be a minimum of 25 years old

Beautiful home overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca

We had a lovely 5 nights in this beautiful house with spectacular views over the strait from the many panoramic windows in the house. The house was spotless and contained all the comforts for a relaxing stay. It was located down a quiet lane, and provided a very peaceful place to stay. We visited Hurricane Ridge and Crescent Lake among other spectacular places in the area. Maureen and Joe met us and settled us in to their house and were very helpful with advice on things to do. Although there was no WiFi in the house, if you wanted to access the net, most stores nearby had free WiFi, as did the tourist information centre in town. We would strongly recommend this house to anyone visiting the area. Thanks for a lovely and relaxing stay Maureen and Joe. Keith and Glenda, Australia.

Great views, wonderful house, beautiful property

We stayed as a launching point for Olympic National Park and we couldn't have had a better place. The house has lovely architecture, the views of the sea are incredible, and Maureen and Joe were very helpful with their advice about the town and park.

Great views and property

Awesome value on this rental house over looking the strait of Juan de Fuca. Super clean, awesome great room with panoramic views, gas fireplace and comfortable seating. Has to be one of the best values in Port Angeles. Which we stayed longer.

Perfect spot for Olympic Penisula touring!

Charming original midcentury home with spectacular views across the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Very well equipped in all respects, from the kitchen to the bed/bath linens-- including travel info, telescope and binoculars, video library, very comfortable beds. House is super close to the Black Ball Ferry landing to go to Victoria B.C. Maureen is a wonderful host, gave us a thorough introduction to the home and the surrounding area. This group of friends will definitely be back!! Tip: LOVED Country Aire Natural Foods in Port Angeles.

Amazing home in Port Angeles

This home is amazing! Lots of windows with a beautiful view of the Straight of Juan De Fuca. Home was very clean and comfortable. Maurer met us to check in and gave lots of useful information about the area. We had a wonderful time!

Great hosts and great location

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in Port Angeles. The location was quiet, and we enjoyed watching the Doe and er two fawns that lived on the property. The home was very clean and well-maintained, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The view from the back of the house was absolutely wonderful. As Maureen stated upon check-in, we able to watch many ships come and go while loading pilots to navigate the sound and the straits. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great getaway in PNW. Many thanks to Joe and Maureen!

Relaxing place to connect with friends and family

We had a relaxing and wonderful stay at Joe and Maureen's place. It was wonderful to disconnect from our electronic worlds and connect with friends in family in this beautiful home that feels like a museum. It's a very tranquil setting with amazing sunsets. We hope to be back soon!

Mid Century Marvel

Staying at Maureen’s childhood home felt like staying in a Frank Lloyd Wright house. With expansive windows, a secluded location, surrounding trees and rhododendrons, and a marvelous water view, the well furnished mid century modern home is a treasure.

Wonderful stay in Port Angeles

This was our first time staying at Joe & Maureen's Port Angeles rental. Highly recommend this place for the excellent views and proximity to the various attractions in Olympic National Park (Hurricane Ridge, Sul Duc falls, etc.). Joe & Maureen greeted us and gave us a tour of the home and shared with us tips on what to see and where to ear. Definitely will come and stay here again.

AMAZING VIEWS

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at this property. The view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca never ceases to amaze. Maureen was kind enough to leave us a printed schedule of the cruise ship departures from Seattle. Since we spent many of our evenings watching DVD movies that we purchased specifically for this trip, it was easy to catch the view of the cruise ships as they passed by. This property definitely provides a very warm and cozy atmosphere where one can just relax from the everyday stresses. Our stay was most enjoyable and we hope to return again.

Unique stay with great views of sound

Unique mid century modern home with great views of the sound and all of the ships passing by. Clean and well-stocked with everything you would need for a comfortable place to stay while you explore all that the Olympic Peninsula has to offer. Extremely helpful host with much knowledge of the area. We would recommend a stay in this great location to anyone! We enjoyed everything from the hummingbirds by the front door to the giant cruise ships passing by, the gas fireplace to warm things up on a chilly evening after a big day of hiking and the many books and articles to browse through to learn more about the area. Olympic NP Getaway

Maureen’s childhood home was the perfect place to stay during our trip to visit Olympic National Park. The ocean view is spectacular! We enjoyed watching the cruise ships come through the strait.

We loved the house, privacy from busy neighborhoods, beautiful view, deer strolling by… delightful introduction by hosts about the family history. Plenty of info about local offerings. Lots of bathroom counter space for these gals! All we needed in the kitchen, etc. Loved the daisies and oregano… 🎶
