Rental is definitely a rustic treehouse stay. Two trees are on the inside of the house with visible access on the floor to the outside. There is a small bathroom, microwave and mini fridge. The bed is not a pull out couch. It is a built on bed. The back porch view is absolutely gorgeous! As for cleanliness: the front yard (entry to the house) is a previous dumping area so there is trash, broken bottles and other non disintegrating items on the hillside. There were beer cans from previous renters underneath the treehouse. There were cobwebs and spiders in the house. Overall, we enjoyed our stay as we spent most of our time exploring the area and Elk watching. There are a lot of steps to get into the house, so expect that. You can pull down to the treehouse, but turning around is definitely not ideal. The driveway to the treehouse is definitely most suitable for a truck or SUV, it may be difficult for a car to get in and out.

Perfect spot

The A-frame had an issue so Zach put me over in the bigger treehouse. It’s in the perfect spot for elk viewing and so many places to visit all around. If you’re coming in the fall this is your spot.

When we arrived at the unit the first thing we were told by a gentleman that if it rained we would be getting water inside the unit. Next we entered the unit and it was filled with bugs flying around and spiders everywhere it seems no one has even attempted to whip down all the spider webs. There was duct tape trying to seal up the wholes where the water leaks and open holes around the bottom of the trees where I assume all the bugs are coming in. This unit also is not a good option for a long term stay. There’s no good places to cook. Obviously we brought all our own cooking equipment. But was surprised that they didn’t have an area where you could set everything up.This unit could be a really great stay if they put some time back into it. For how expensive it was a night I was expecting a lot more.

Beautiful setting

Visited for a couple of nights w/ my pup to explore the surrounding area.. Compact, clean & comfortable. After the rains stopped the balcony over the woods amazing for morning or evening . Hosts responsive & helpful

Treehouse view

Would definitely recommend this property, we ended up staying in the big treehouse as the property owner said there were issues with the small treehouse, Zack the owner was very gracious to answer any questions I had…beautiful place to stay!!

No water, rained in on the bed !

It's a cute place but needs to be cleaned. Cobwebs every where and spiders. Floors are buckled from all the water on the floor.Toilet paper shredded from some animal chewing it. No water to shower and only a small amount from the bathroom sink! It was raining and the water was splashing off the tree trunk that runs up through the cabin and had us and the bed wet!! Now that's what I call ruffing it!

Most wonderful place and Zach the host

Upon checking in, Zach (the host) told me there was an issue with the bed and he recommended I stay in another of his properties. Well the original was a small A frame tree house which I knew when I booked it. What he graciously put me in was a two story tree house house with no additional payment required. The place was beautiful, well built and maintained. I believe he is part owner of the ice cream place just a minute walk away. I have to say that their ice cream is delicious so be sure to get some. What more could you ask for than eating an ice cream on the back deck and watching elk walk by. I saw a bull and a cow go by. I highly recommend staying here. Plus it’s a 2 minute drive to the visitor center and minutes from the best elk viewing areas.
