The Big Buck Lodge was the perfect setting for our sibling reunion. The 8 bedroom, 8 bath setup worked great since we had 8 couples. There was sufficient dining space and loved the double stoves, refrigerators, and dishwashers setup. Something you don't know how nice it is to have until you have it. After a day of adventures we found the deck overlooking the mountains a perfect happy hour spot. The hot tub felt wonderful also. The owner was informative and pleasant to work with. The place was clean and well appointed. Highly recommend for your group!
The young people loved the pool table, the video games and the hot tub. The furniture was comfortable. The kitchen could have used more forks, and I would suggest anyone bring a knife sharpener. Many knives but not very sharp for the most part. Plenty of pots and pans.

Thank you for your review. We will address the sharpness of the knives. Thank you for choosing BIG Buck Lodge! :D
The house was great for a group of adults - we loved the view, the space to relax on the decks, the double appliances in the kitchen, and the fact that all beds were queen and king (no trying to squeeze full grown adults into bunk rooms). 4 annoying downsides, 1)the kitchen is NOT well stocked - if the listing says it sleeps 30 you'd better have 30 dinner plates, 30 cups, 30 mugs, 30 forks, etc. There were MAYBE 10-12 of each thing, we were a group of 16 and we didn't have enough plates, mugs, spoons, etc. There were plenty of pans and pots to use on the stove but barely anything for oven cooking, a few baking sheets and that's basically it, no casserole dishes or any oven-safe backing dishes with sides2) the towels are the cheapest, thinnest, scratchiest, motel-quality towels. yuck 3) the walls are SO thin, the lower floor with 4 bedrooms you can hear full conversations from other rooms, 4) the living space in the main floor is not big enough for a big group to hang out, it's hard to use the benches in between the dining table without pulling the tables so far apart that you cant get around it into the kitchen, there's only couch/armchair seating for like 5 people in the living room, and the stools at the counter are super uncomfortable. we couldn't all hang out in the main space comfortably together which was the main point of the trip.

Thank you for your review but we were quite startled by the list. We pulled everything from the kitchen and counted all pieces. To name a few:
30 plates, utensils, glasses, mugs, bowls
3 glass baking dishes in addition to cookie sheets and muffin tins
We did not find any can openers so they have been replaced.
The third party cleaning company provides towels and linens and they have not changed their protocol in over 6 years and have never had a complaint.
The living room consists of a pull out couch and 2 wing back chairs as well as a center ottoman table. The dining room tables seat 10 in chairs and 2 benches to accommodate another 6. The stools at the counter accommodate a lot more.
In regard to the kitchen count, maybe dirty dishes were being cleaned in the dishwashers when you counted because there is an abundance. 🤷♀️
Wonderful house! Big enough to accommodate 23 people comfortably. Beautiful views. Centrally located for many activities. Great amenities. I would rent it again!!
We held a women’s retreat at this property. We had 25 or 26 women of all different ages who stayed here. Everyone slept comfortably - the rooms and beds were so nice. The kitchen was laid out perfectly for functionality with a group that big. The hot tubs were so nice. The decks were amazing with that view! There was space to be together - and enough space to go be by yourself if you needed to. There was plenty of parking and the area was beautiful. If I had any issue, it was just that it was a little hard to find - even with the GPS. Several of us had to make some U-turns and try again. But we all made it and we had a wonderful time.
This was a family and friends reunion for a group from7 different states. We had 3 different families with 3 generations. There was lots of room for everyone. It was a good base camp for all the activities and exploring the Smokys and Gatlinburg. The house was stocked with essentials. Very beautiful views.

Beautiful location with accessibility to everything. Having a large kitchen with 2 cooktops, ovens, refrigerators and dishwashers made meal prep and clean up great for our large group. We definitely enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful house with plenty of room for all. Beautiful views off all 3 decks. Very convenient to have double appliances in the kitchen (2 dishwashers, ovens, microwaves, fridges). Location was very nice - we took daily hikes in Smokey Mountains and only took between 20 -30 minutes to drive to trailheads. Large dining area also. Would definitely rent again.
The cabin was very clean and the kitchen was
GREAT cooking for our large group. We would love to come back again.
