Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We value every opportunity to host and place the highest importance on building positive relationships with our guests. Unfortunately, in this case, your review does not accurately reflect what took place during your reservation. When you first arrived at the property, you requested a call with us. We expected this to be a straightforward, helpful conversation, but instead we were immediately met with profanity, insults, and accusations about our home and listing. This occurred before you had even entered the house. During that call, you accused us of providing misleading photos and false advertising, specifically referencing an image of Beach Plum Farm. To clarify: our listing clearly distinguishes between photos of the home and photos of nearby attractions. The first 20 photos in our gallery show the interior and the rear exterior of the home exactly as it is. We do not include photos of the front exterior for privacy and safety reasons, or for other considerations that hosts may reasonably have. The last few photos are of local highlights in Stone Harbor and Cape May, such as beaches and scenery – something we include for guest orientation. For perspective, just as a host in Paris may share a photo of the Eiffel Tower to highlight a nearby attraction, it does not suggest that their home is located at the base of the tower itself. The exact address of our property was also made available to you through VRBO 30 days prior to check-in, which provided ample time to research the location and confirm details. In addition, we sent a greeting message shortly after your initial booking and received no reply until a few days before your arrival. If there had been any questions or uncertainties, there was plenty of opportunity to reach out to us in advance. Despite the hostile start to our conversation, we made every effort to remain polite and solution-oriented. Unfortunately, the ongoing use of profanity and the aggressive tone of our exchanges left us feeling unsafe and unable to continue hosting. At that point, we asked you and your group to vacate the property and immediately processed a full refund for your stay. Given our history of consistently positive reviews, this sudden shift in tone and claims feels inconsistent with the experiences of our past guests. For that reason, we believe this review presents a false and inaccurate reflection of both our home and the hospitality we provide. We wish you the best of luck.
