This beautiful home was built in 2010 with a wall of windows displaying panoramic views of Delaware Bay. If you seek quiet, relaxation and gorgeous sunsets, this is the place for you. Located just 9 miles north of downtown Cape May and 8 miles east of Diamond Beach, Wildwood, there are plenty of activities for everyone in your party. For nature lovers, bring your binoculars to observe the osprey, eagles and other birds native to Cape May. Launch your own Kayak at high tide from our beach or go for long walks with your dog.
The water is very shallow and great fun to dig up conch shells in the sand bar at low tide. For family members who prefer a bit more action, drive to down town Cape May for shopping, restaurants and swimming in the ocean. The kids will love the rides on the Wildwood boardwalk as well as rafting in the ocean on Diamond Beach. Return home after a day of activity and fall asleep to the sound of the water splashing just outside your window.
Please crate your dog if you intend to leave them unattended.
Two dogs maximum and no puppies.

Stayed 3 nights for a girl's trip. The house is spacious and clean. Close to attractions such as downtown Cape May and wineries. Our favorite part was watching the sunset over the bay each night. Would recommend!
This was our second time spending spring break in this beautiful house. It suits our family so well, with lots of space to spread out and also be together. The views and beach are breathtaking. John is a wonderful host, immediately attentive if we needed anything. Thank you so much.
Before I start I want to say we did get a full refund. But we should have never been allowed to book the property. Before we arrived the property owner mentioned the heat wasn't working well but that he provided space heaters (more on that later). When we arrived the house is right on the water and the views were breath taking. But the house itself and the property left much to be desired. Initially walking in we found at-least lol a dozen alive & dead wasps. Along with another dozen live lady bugs crawling on the walls. When we opened the refrigerator a very gross and pungent smell came pouring out. Along with mold growing on the shelves. Upon calling the owner he said he MIGHT be able to get someone out the next day, which was Christmas Eve. And he also said maybe we could go to Wawa and get ice for the cooler. And that the cleaners were there the day before. Also the space heaters were so small they wouldn't have made a difference in the freezing downstairs. And on top of it all there was a camera in the main living area. The owner said we could put a cup over it, but I thought having camera was against VRBO policy. Clearly he was not caring for the property in the way we expected. We were so grossed out and uncomfortable we left the property and took our business elsewhere.
Awesome location, rare warblers in n the property & bald eagles on the beach. Never saw notice about bringing sheets & towels but luckily owner telephoned prior to our coming with details.
Beautiful sunsets house is nice, a little ride to cape may but worth the privacy and serine setting. I would stay again. Waking up to the sound of the bay out back is awesome.
Had a spectacular week at this amazing location. Beautiful sunsets. Great beach access. Everything as advertised. Plenty of space for the whole family.
A week with our daughter’s & preschool granddaughters, who loved exploring the extensive low tide sandbars and seeing the horseshoe crabs and laughing gulls. Lots of local restaurants and services and only a 20 minute drive to Wildwood and Cape May.
Beautiful property and beautiful views of the bay-sunsets, pelicans, an eagle and other birds. Only problem I had was with my GPS which did not want to put the address in to come to and from the property, so just put in a business nearby to get back and forth from Cape May.
Thank you for such a lovely stay.
We enjoyed staying here. It was what we were looking for- on the quiet side of Cape May, lots of wildlife ( we spotted bald eagles, a coyote, many seabirds and tons of bunnies!) The neighborhood was peaceful, the house is nicely set up and was clean. The owner was responsive and we had a great time here.
The property was everything the listing described. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this magnificent home. I needed a relaxing stay and this certainly met all of our requirements.
We had an amazing time, thank you John for allowing us to stay in your home. The house was exactly as described, but better. The views are amazing throughout the house and the perfect décor in each room. We brought our dog who also loved everything about this property. The stairs are carpeted which made it easy for her to get up and down since she has a bad leg.
We saw the resident eagle, many seagulls and egret. The bay at low tide is so cool, it recedes where you are able to walk out about 400 feet. Just like the song says, sitting on the dock of the Bay, watching the tide roll away.
Our family had such a wonderful week. The house was impeccably clean with anything we needed. The location is heaven, quiet and very private feeling. Views of the bay and sunsets we even better than we hoped. Highly recommended.
Property owner was easy to connect with. The views are stunning! Grocery stores are 15 mins away, dollar store, Wildwood's Atlantic Ocean and of course the Cape May Town exit 0, 20 mins away. This is Thanksgiving weekend when this review is being posted. Atlantic City 40 mins north. The best part is you can bring your dog! My Luna had a blast running on the bay beach area of the Delaware River, right outside!!!
Overall Great Experience and Beautiful Views. The inside of the home was well kept and accommodating.
The outside of the property could use some upkeep/maintenance to control the natural landscape growth. Many areas were a bit overgrown and made it difficult to open car doors, transport luggage, and walk to the sand area at the bay.
The sand location down to the waterline felt ultra private and relaxing.
One turnoff was the presence of Security cameras inside the house as it pulled from the wanted feeling of complete relaxation/disconnect from it all. The owner did call to ask that we turn the cameras to face the wall, but still knowing they were active and in the area was a bit of a disappointment.
All in all though a great place to disconnect and relax with amazing views which I would recommend to anyone (and their pooch)!
Peace and quiet abound at the Round House. The location was perfect for our family - on the beach overlooking the bay and the dunes. An open floor plan enabled us to all be together whether we were watching the waves roll in, cooking breakfast or watching TV. The 3 balconies were wonderful for reading, relaxing and bird watching. The primary suite was spacious with a double sink in the bathroom and dual shower heads. The other 2 bedrooms were generously spaced. We all loved our time at the Round House and hope to return again!
Not only is the house beautiful but it has a private beach and the sunsets on the bay are spectacular. It is quiet yet not far from the center of Cape May and the numerous wineries and wonderful farms. We will no doubt visit again.

About the host
Hosted by John Guerin
We built this house in 2010 after many years of planning. It has qualities of a sanctuary, close to nature, with the bay in front and wetlands behind. The sun rises over the wetlands and sets over the bay. Light pollution is minimal, so there are breathtakingly starry nights. We marvel at how restful our sleep is, with the waves gently lapping the shore thirty feet away.
Why they chose this property
This house is a serene retreat, but within easy reach of downtown Cape May and Wildwood, each 12 minutes away by car.
What makes this property unique
Get the fun, adventure and crowds of the shore, when you want them, get a peaceful and relaxing place to stay. You can sit on the deck and watch the water for a long time without getting bored. If you don't think you meditate, you may find out otherwise. I always feel a sense of renewal when I am there.
