About this property

South central 4 bedroom house 3 minutes from Faurot Field! Its close and quiet.

Spaces:
Unique kitchen and living/dining room for 8 guests with a bar/restaurant theme including 2 high top tables and a booth. Downstairs has lounge with ping pong and cabinet video game with hundreds of titles. Out back there’s a screened deck with table and chairs (seats 6). Or try the lower deck with furniture and grill. Or head over to the lighted firepit area which has room for everyone, plus a picnic table.
Location:
You're in it! Step out the door, you may hear Marching Mizzou! You're one block from Green Meadows and one over is Grindstone which are both packed with retail/restaurants. Check map.
Sleep:
At some point you'll want to sleep. No problem! We have great beds. Two bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs. Up has primary bdrm and kid friendly room with bunks (has a 250# weight limit if you're looking to relive college!). Downstairs has two bdrms and an access door. There's also a futon and ingenious fold out ottoman which puts our capacity at 8. Parking for 5 vehicles

This is the best house we have stayed in! It was clean, close to everything we needed, and the air kept up with it being so hot out. There were plenty of towels for everyone, and they were nice quality. If we ever need to stay in Columbia again we will be staying here!

We're both MU alumni, moved to St. Louis, and took a surprisingly long time to ask ourselves...'Why?" We moved back nine years ago, and just love this town! We did traditional rental of the property for a couple years, then decided to turn to VRBO. We put our hearts and minds into it, and have just really enjoyed the results. We hope you do too!

Why they chose this property

We loved this place instantly. We wanted a house where we thought we would like to stay ourselves. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Being able to hear Marching Mizzou again in the back yard is wonderful and reminds my wife of growing up in Columbia near to campus The location is amazing, it's so close to Providence Rd its ridiculous. There is no houses across the street so that is nice, for privacy, etc. I love the outdoor spaces this house offers...screened in patio, lower deck, and the new firepit area.

What makes this property unique

I dare say there are not a lot of properties this close to the Memorial Stadium and the campus, especially at our capacity. And, do they have parking for five cars off-street?
The bar/restaurant theme in kitchen/dining room area is really fun and unique. Rolled silverware, at the ready. There's a coffee maker, of course, but we like to call it the coffee station because it has everything. There's high top bar tables that allow for a room full of accommodation.
We're not trying to be a bed and breakfast, necessarily, or a cozy cottage, we're a centrally located engagement spot to launch your Columbia adventure and be able to come back and enjoy a fun place to stay. The bedrooms all have a academic department theme. There are choices, we like choices, like different spaces around the house to enjoy, different activities to try out, like the old school video game cabinet with hundreds and hundreds of games. There is a Welcome Book and a Menu Book that has recommendations for many great local restaurants, so go out! or request delivery options. There's a lot of options.
We have great beds for when the time comes, but until then, enjoy yourself!
And, of course, of course!, let the manager know if you need anything!
