Authentic Log CabinšŸŒ™ situated overlooking a tranquil Lake on a wooded 2 acre lot. This three bedroom two bath with great room and basement/gameroom is a perfect getaway right outside Athens . This log cabin is just 10 minutes off exit 137 and I-85 outside Jefferson (Arcade, GA). Only 15 minutes from Athens. Perfect šŸ’˜ getaway from hustle and bustle and get in touch with nature in a relaxing cabin on a lake. šŸ„‚

NOTE: Cabin is rustic ... and basement in process of improvements/renovations. All appliances and Components in good working order ... however very nice rustic cabin get-a-way!

Nice getaway. Just about 20 minutes away from the UGA campus. Really nice outdoor living with beautiful trees and small pond to look over. Wonderful fire pit. The house is a log cabin so it's rustic and not super clean but it's good. Scott was great to work with an overall can't go around here. I would return.

Perfect spot for our family

The property location was perfect to celebrate my Grandsons 30th Bday. It was scenic, rustic, and perfect for our celebration. Our host was easy to get ahold of and answered our questions quickly.

Perfect for football weekend

A little rustic but our needs were simple. Basically a two bedroom, as the third had no bedding or electricity, but the other 2 were great. Easy to Uber to/from Athens, great communication from host, I'd stay again

Property not well maintained and in an apparent constant state of ā€œrenovationsā€ based on seeing same issues described in other reviews from many months ago. Things that have been updated and improved were obviously not done by anyone with knowledge of what they were doing. One of the sliding door was unable to be locked, smoke detector constantly beeping, cob webs all over the place, and our attempt to use the grill was both a fire hazard and an adventure (flames under the grill where they shouldnā€™t be and only two extremely hot spots on the grill with the other 80% ice cold). Just to mention a few things. Luckily we werenā€™t there to spend much time in the place so it didnā€™t really matter other than seeing we got far less bang for our buck than any other place Iā€™ve ever rented like this. We really only needed a place to sleep for the most part (though it would have been nice if we knew the place could be locked up while we weee gone). On a positive note, my messages with the owner were always answered promptly and they seemed very nice.

You didn't hesitate to contact me several times asking for the address / instructions because you couldn't wait for the welcome package they send. yet you didn't bother to contact me once on any issues that you had at the cabin . Furthermore, Your review is so misleading I hesitate to even respond. But being that it's so unfair I will clarify for my future guests that know how to follow House Rules. The smoke detector simply needed a new battery that's why it was beeping and was replaced as soon as I was aware of it. The sliding glass door switch you had in the wrong position when you closed it and you broke the lock which I repaired immediately. The grill that you went into a separate building that was private property you removed a propane tank brought it to the grill and hooked it up which No guest would ever do in their right mind with any intelligence. Because it was obviously not listed as an amenity as well as disconnected and stated to be only used with charcoal. As far as your petty whining about renovations ....the living and sleeping spaces had absolutely no renovations and very comfortable with virtually no complaints.. the basement has a couple cosmetic repairs to be finished and all repairs were completed by someone who knew exactly what they were doing. Too bad when you left your review you didn't know what you were doing everything you said was misleading or just plain wrong.... although there might of been a couple cobwebs even after a thorough clean ....it is a rustic cabin. I thankful the majority of my guests appreciate the Rustic character of a log cabin EXACTLY as I state in the ad.
