Me and my husband stayed here for the weekend. We loved this cabin. Clean, lots is space, secluded. The beds were very comfortable, the shower had great pressure. Loved the screen in porch and privacy.

Anniversary Getaway!
My husband and I had a great time! The property is away from the busy atmosphere of downtown, but close enough to drive and enjoy a delicious dinner. It is very relaxing and peaceful!
The cabin is very cozy and ideally located for attractions in the area. They have everything you need for a short or extended stay. Other reviews mention the roosters and you can definitely hear them when outside but we weren’t bothered.

Great stay
Great little house, perfect for our hiking trip. Extremely well stocked kitchen which was great since we cooked every day. Grill, etc. Clean, nice bedrooms, and back in the quiet woods. Would stay again!
We enjoyed our stay! The cabin is comfortable! Great seating- the back porch was amazing. The kitchen is well equipped! Clayton is a wonderful town and we enjoyed the state parks as well. We will be coming back!

Great Cabin
Very nice cabin with everything you need. Very good use of space in the cabin and felt like home. Living was beautiful and spacious. Kitchen had everything you need. Assume experience.
We enjoyed our stay. Close to Clayton for stores and restaurants. The house is beautifully furnished. The bed was comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. The road up is steep but beautiful. The neighbors dog is always in the yard but nice. The roosters next door are extremely loud and crow all day. So if you want to sit on the lovely porch just be aware. We played music and it was fine. This was close to our daughter who is a river guide at NOC on the Chattoga so we will be back.

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful feedback. We're delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the beautifully furnished home, comfortable bed, and well-equipped kitchen. It sounds like you had quite the experience with the steep but scenic road and the friendly neighbor’s dog. We also appreciate your understanding about the lively roosters next door. It’s great that the location was convenient for your daughter’s work at NOC on the Chattahoochee. We truly value your kind words and would love to welcome you back anytime for another memorable stay.

lovely cottage but not peaceful outside
The cottage was beautiful. The roosters down the mountain never stop crowing which was kind of annoying. They never stopped crowing so it wasn't peaceful sitting outside enjoying the forest.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're glad you found the cottage beautiful, but we apologize for the disturbance caused by the roosters' crowing. We understand how important tranquility is when enjoying a forest retreat, and we'll look into addressing this issue to enhance the experience for our guests in the future. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back under more peaceful circumstances.
Loved the cabin and setting. Beautiful screen porch, loved the new grill. Porch heater wasn't working, the road to the cabin was a little more than expected, but we got there. A shorter door code would have been appreciated by this new traveler. Would still love to return, forwarned, to this beatiful location.
The house was conveniently located to town, Black Rock state park and hiking trails. The house was very clean and well kept. We could have used better directions. It sent us to Jake Field Road which dead ended at the top. Make sure to turn at the road before it called Dud Creek Lane. We had better luck using Apple than google maps.

The house smells of mold and mildew. It was very bad. Had a headache for 2 days due to this issue. We sprayed with Lysol and had windows open to air it out but it still smells. This could be a health issue for some.
The most important thing I have to say is DO NOT FOLLOW GOOGLE MAPS TO THIS HOUSE IT WILL GET YOU LOST AND POSSIBLY HURTThe roads to the house are not for inexperienced drivers. Once we realized google was way off it was to late and we were in a pretty bad situation ( truck and trailer) luckily my husband is a very experienced driver and was able to get us out of there but it could have been bad. Apple map got us there correctly but roads are still kinda rough. Cabin is beautiful and the area is great! Just be careful!!! Would definitely recommend!
