Our 2 bedroom and 1 bathroom Avalon Coach House in Kitsilano offers luxury long stay accommodation on 2 levels for up to 7 guests. This new Coach house is fully self contained and built to the highest standard using eco friendly materials.
Our accommodation is ideal for couples who seek the spaciousness of our accommodation, families with children (we have baby equipment, toys and a child friendly garden with enclosed trampoline) and larger groups wishing to travel together.
Our unit has a private outdoor patio with grill.
Our neighbourhood....: Kitsilano, colloquially knows as “Kits” is one of Vancouver’s premiere Neighbourhoods and is located on the city’s west side. It is bordered to the North by two beaches, Kitsilano and Jericho beach and is home to two distinct commercial areas. The first located along Broadway between Larch and Blenheim streets, only steps from Avalon Coach House, while the other is along 4th Ave between Balsam and Burrard streets.
Kitsilano is a great neighbourhood to explore on foot, with its many wonderful shops and restaurants as well as parks and beaches.
Avalon Coach house is located on a quiet tree lined street in Kitsilano but just steps from shops, restaurants and easy direct transportation links to downtown Vancouver and UBC. There are over 30 different restaurants and cafes located within 2 blocks of the accommodation! We are also within easy walking distance to several beautiful beaches.

The Perfect Vancouver Stay

This has to be the best place to stay in Vancouver! The Coach House is on a quiet street in Kitsilano, which was a neighbourhood we instantly fell in love with. Broadway is literally a 3 minute stroll away with good coffee and eating options (Purebread was a highlight!) and a large Safeway. We were there when the local farmers market was on and again - a pleasant 15 minute walk away. Parking next to the Coach House was appreciated but there was always plenty of free, unrestricted street parking. The inside of the Coach House was actually better then the photos! The downstairs was spacious, tasteful and spotless. The nice surprise was that the two bedrooms and bathroom were much larger then the photos show - again, beautifully done with comfortable beds and high quality linens. The kitchen had everything you would need. Communications prior and during our stay with Julia were fantastic. We can't recommend the Coach House more highly - stay here - you won't be disappointed.

Amazing hosts and home

We had an incredible experience staying here. Julia and Cormac went above and beyond to make our family comfortable and help us get settled in. The coach house is immaculate, charming, and every last need is thoughtfully provided for. The location turned out to be one of our favorite spots in Vancouver- a beautiful, walkable neighborhood with a fantastic vibe. This was one of our best stays ever- truly a magical combination of a beautiful place and incredibly warm and kind hosts.

Private space in perfect location

Our family loved staying at Julia and Cormac's Coach House. It was nice having an entire building to ourselves so our kids could be kids without worrying whether they were bothering anyone above or below us. The Coach House's custom designs were charming and a marvel of efficiency. We especially liked the comfort and simplicity of heated flooring. The location offers easy access to the huge variety of restaurants and shops on Broadway. By "easy" I mean a 5-minute walk along pleasant tree-lined streets. You can even pick and choose grocery stores with equally pleasant walks to Safeway or Choices market. Julia and Cormac are very on top of things so communication regarding check-in/out and other details was a breeze. Great experience all-around.

Great stay in Kitsilano

Spent 6 nights at this well located Laneway house. The property is close to the beach in a quiet neighbourhood with many shops and restaurants. The home was well equipped for our needs and the hosts were responsive to our inquiries. I definitely recommend this property.

Perfect stay!

We stayed at the Coach House during drop off of our first year student at UBC. The house was perfect for our needs. We loved the location which was within wonderful walking distance to dining, shopping and grocery. We also enjoyed easy driving access to UBC and downtown Vancouver. On street parking was always accessible for our larger vehicle. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. Having a kitchen/refrigerator made it easy to have light breakfasts, restaurant leftovers and snacks. We loved our time in Kitslano and will be back!

Recharge At This Private Oasis

I came to Vancouver for some appointments, and ended up with a mini-vacay. For those who prefer less hustle and bustle just outside the city, access to many wonderful shops and restaurants, and pet-friendly beaches, Kits is the spot for you! This cozy home had all I needed and more to unwind after a few days of meetings. The hosts were extra accommodating to make sure our stay was relaxed. My dog had a blast at all the off-leash areas as well. Can't say enough about it. I will definitely be bringing my guests here for any future holidays! I highly recommend Jericho Beach, especially Spanish Banks, Hadden Beach, Nook Restaurant, SushiTonTon, Maria's Taverna, Brioche Cafe in GasTown, and the Celtic Treaure Chest.

Superb!

Location can’t get any better. Clean property with all of the amenities you could need. Julia was amazing to deal with and the property was beautiful, relaxing and clean. We had our 3 kids with us and having the laundry and full kitchen was handy. Parking was never an issue also. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location & home for a week!

My family of 6 (ages 11-42) just stayed here for the week. The location was excellent. We found a lot to do and were within about 20 minutes in all directions of Stanley Park, multiple beautiful beaches and a lot of restaurants and sights to see. Julia was a pleasure to deal with during check in, thruout our stay & check out. She provided us with beach towels upon request which was great for our days at the beach. The house is clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and felt like home. Beds were comfortable & pictures are exactly what you get! We were able to park on the street as we had a large suv and were always able to find a spot no problem. There is a parking stall at the house which would fit a regular car or small suv. Beautiful neighbourhood all around. Thank you so much to Julia & Mike. Beautiful property. We HIGHLY recommend Mi Casa Mexicana on Burrard. We went there twice for dinner! Wonderful & Authentic.

Great property and location

This is the second time we have stayed at this property together with our dog. Well-located and nicely decorated and maintained laneway home. Quiet, yet close to busier streets with lots of amenities. We will be back.

This is a lovely coach house in a fantastic location in Kitsilano. We had our dog with us and felt safe walking her in the area at all hours. The unit is bright and clean and was well stocked with towels and linens. Beds were comfy and everything worked. It’s clear this home is well cared for. We would love to stay here again next time.

Julia and Mike went the extra mile. Efficient use of square footage. Beautifully constructed. Super clean. It had everything we needed. A few steps from all the shopping we needed: food, haircuts, banking. restaurants, parks, the ocean only 10 short blocks.

Exceeds Expectations

The property is just as described with a great location. I was very sick during my stay and spent far more time in bed than I would have liked. Thank goodness for a comfy bed and lots of pillows. The place is well stocked, lots of towels, and everything needed in the kitchen. I will stay here again.

Fabulous lane home !

The place was absolutely perfect. It felt like home and the owners are always there to assist if you have any questions. We enjoyed every minute and had a wonderful thanksgiving with our daughters who live here ... now back to Calgary and the snow :(
