The house is set back on a quiet gravel road for lots of privacy but ease of access. 4 bedrooms located upstairs (no elevator or lift). All bedrooms are decent sized. The MB has a queen-sized bed and plenty of closet space, with TV, 2nd bedroom has a queen bed with closet and chair, 3rd bedroom has 2 twin beds, dresser, closet and chair, 4th bedroom is accessed through a bathroom (yes a bit odd) but has 1 twin bed, there is also a blow up twin bed available. The large dining room has a dining table with seating for six people along with two buffet tables. Wireless router access is in this room with an additional one located upstairs in the master bedroom. The large living room is to the left with a sofa bed, large chair and 55” Roku TV. Adjacent to this room are two other ante rooms. One is a wood paneled room with 2 chairs and foosball table, the other has a wet bar and a high top table for games or food. The kitchen is fully equipped with new flooring, refrigerator, faucet, and garbage disposal. Please note that due to renovations by the prior owner the ceiling is only 6’3” tall so please be mindful of this if anyone in your group is taller than that. There is an eat-in dining table with chairs for four. Outside the kitchen is a tiled 3 season patio which could be used year-round and has a rug and space heaters. Taking a few steps down from the patio is an exterior patio with a table and chairs along with an umbrella and a grill. There is also a pool on the property which is open from May 15th until October 1st with a table and chairs. Beach towels are provided. Plenty of parking in your own private driveway. The house was set up so well for us - Two adult families and two children. The house was clean, spacious with many rooms, and the foosball table was so fun! Nice, spacious, well stocked. The host gets 10 stars for communication! Answers came back within minutes, and if we needed things not in the kitchen, they were delivered promptly. Great experience.
Joan was a great host and quickly responded when needed. We had a lot of room in the house and everyone loved the pool! We would stay again if ever in the area.
You're close to many places but you feel like you're in your own little world. Very quiet and peaceful. The house has many rooms, which I think is great! So many places to spread out and relax and do what you want. We didn't get to try the pool out very much due to weather, but it's also a nice, relaxing spot. Our family had a great time!
Great location, everything one could ask for in a a property. Joan was very easy to communicate with, and was extremely accommodating. Swimming pool was fun. Would absolutely stay here again.
Joan was the most fantastic host! She was so accommodating and easy to communicate with. The house was charming and had all of the amenities that you would need for a comfortable stay. The property itself was so beautiful and peaceful. Everyone really enjoyed there stay!
Our group came from all over the US and also from Portugal. Proximity to Dulles was key, and yet we felt like we were in the middle of horse country! Joan was so attentive and made the whole process a breeze! We will certainly book again!
Adorable property with tons of charm. The kids loved playing games in the den each night. Even tho you are minutes from shopping and the airport, while enjoying the pool you feel like you are miles into the country.
Charming farm style home. Bathroom that has stall shower - the stall was very tiny - even for my 13 year old. There were some ants in the home - there were some traps around so this is likely because of being in the woods. Pool was clean. Kitchen dishwasher was not secured in the space/opening - hand washed dishes because I was worried about safety with dishwasher. Host was amazing to work with - quick responses and very helpful.
Enjoyed the delightful setting in the country. Real farmhouse (which means some mobility challenges as there are steps everywhere and uneven floors). Weather kept us from enjoying the pool, which looks refreshing. Watched deer in the expansive setting. Plenty of parking and comfortable bedrooms for 6.
We enjoyed a long weekend with 3 generations under one roof. 7 of us stayed comfortably at this beautiful old home built in the 1870', the Aldie Farm House. Our adult daughter braved the pool's cold water the first day, but being end of April, none of us were that brave. Our host was very attentive to any questions we had and there was a very nice caretaker who was available if we needed her. We were pretty busy during our stay but we managed to cook most of our meals at the house and appreciated the great cookware and utensils. We would have love to stay longer, but was alas had to get back to our lives at home. Thank you again.

Lovely older farm home. Had all the space and amenities we needed. Beds were comfortable with clean linens and lots of towels. Disappointed though that pool was dirty, and no equipment to clean the dirt out, coffee maker was not clean as well and laundry was in dryer which I folded and put away. We do appreciate the wine that was welcoming us in.
The property is a historic farmhouse in a location that worked well for a wedding we attended nearby. There are several breweries and wineries within a few miles, and it wasn't far too to grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, etc. Note that the road leading to the farmhouse is not paved and is pretty bumpy. There are also some low-hanging branches at the entrance of the driveway that scraped the top of our small RV, and could be difficult for large SUVs/trucks. The host was awesome: super responsive, flexible, and helpful! We appreciated the crib, high chair, and playset available for our granddaughters. There were ample towels and the iron and ironing board came in handy. Although we found aspects of the old farmhouse charming, its lack of modern conveniences proved to be somewhat challenging. There is no central AC and not all rooms have AC units; when we gathered in the dining room, it got pretty stuffy. We were not able to use a hair dryer in either of the two upstairs bathrooms, and with 7 adults (4 women) trying to get ready for a wedding, this was frustrating. But the biggest issue was bugs & spiders, both inside and out. It was bad enough inside that I contacted the host shortly after arriving. She offered to come spray, but we both agreed it wasn't a good idea with young children in the house. But it continued to be a big issue the entire visit. All in all, it worked well enough for our family to enjoy the nearby wedding, and our time together!
