Riverfront cabin with hot tub and amenities galore!
York Island Riverfront Cabin #2 sits in the middle of everything this property has to offer. Offering a huge screened in porch overlooking the river and York Island., it doesn’t stop there with a lower deck hot tub with river viewing. A comfy king bed awaits you in this mostly open space. There is also a queen bed set semi-private for other family members or friends making this cabin sleep 4 comfortably. The cabin itself is the perfect retreat from the hustle of day-to-day life. If exploring is what you and your family like this property has its own waterfall and 2+ acre lake. The property sits on over 7 acres with mountain views, its own inground swimming pool, and of course the White River. This cabin has a kitchenette including an electric stove and oven, a pressure cooker, kureig,, plenty of unique counter space, a microwave, a toaster, outdoor charcoal grill and much more. Two other cabins on this property share the common areas so it's great for having a friends or family trip or simply meeting other travelers like yourself. This cabin has modern crank out windows for easy airflow on those days when a fresh breeze is better than ac or heat which is something that I love about this property. The bathroom has a gorgeous claw foot bathtub with a shower handle to just soak in and relax. If a shower is a must there are 4 showers at the pavilion with hot and cold water, toilets, and sinks that all guests have access to. The living room is equipped with a smart tv and Starlink=excellent wi-fi so you can stream all of your shows or actually work; but who wants to be inside with all the exploring there is to do! Book one or all three for an unforgettable stay! Check out all the extras you can have here compared to other places!

We had a wonderful time! Cabin is so nice and peaceful! The view is amazing and we could have sat on the porch the entire stay. Hosts went above and beyond to make our stay extra special!

Happy Anniversary! I am glad your stay was special that’s what we aim for! Come back and see us!
Beautiful view, clean location and facility. There was a book that provided information for interest surrounding the rental. Ms. Dana was very nice and accommodating. The amenities were amazing and we were able to cook and have a good silent and peaceful time.

Thank you for your review! I have to say the cabin was as clean when you left it and I sure do appreciate that! Come back and see us whenever you are needing the peace.
We LOVED staying here. Dana was an incredible host and we took advantage of all the amazing amenities she offered on her property. We went Kayaking, fishing, played pool and games, roasted marshmallows in the beautiful fireplace, and many many more fun activities. The clawfoot tub and hot tub offered in the cabin we stayed in was the cherry on top. Thank you so much!

Dana and Brian were fabulous hosts! The cabin and property were so perfect for us! Everything was clean and in order. The common areas are great for family activities. Our kids enjoyed the pool, hot tub, waterfall, kayaks, and just exploring the property.

The cabin is advertised as 1 bedroom 2 bath but it’s actually just 1 huge room with 2 beds and a living area in it with no privacy for a bedroom and only 1 bathroom. The hot tub is under the cabin and there is no lighted path to walk to it at night and you have to walk out the front door and walk around some rocky path to get to it. We were there for 2 nights and when I asked for more coffee which we wanted to buy because the location is rural it seemed like a problem to get a few more coffee pods for our second day so we just went to the store and bought some. The host seemed extremely friendly the night before with food and a fire pit so not sure what happened. Also be sure you are aware this is a dry county.

I am sorry you were disappointed in how many complimentary coffee pods you had in your cabin. looked at our description and it clearly describes a one bedroom and that the queen which is semi private is for extra guests. The pictures also clearly shows the layout. It has always described only one bathroom although there are 4 showers/bathrooms at the pavilion you can use. Because this was a Christmas stay we went all out with a complimentary spread including a meat and cheese tray, a fruit platter, cheese spreads, chocolate dipped cake balls. And a relish tray for all the guests to enjoy which you both did. We built a fire that you also enjoyed. We made sausage bisquits for guests to have for the next morning which was at no cost to our guests. You also received homemade firecrackers I made, some chocolates, and a Christmas candle as my gift to you. There is a light at the hot tub that provides light but I will take your suggestion and try to light the pathway better. As far as the coffee pods we supplied over 8 pods in your cabin and for 2 days we believe that is more than ample. We also supply creamers, hot chocolate pods, sweeteners, tea, and more. You never offered to buy more pods but I did offer you more. You never came to the office to get them. If you had read the paperwork I clearly state you must buy any alcoholic beverage ahead and I gave you directions on where to get alcohol. Every now and again I realize some people will never appreciate all the things they do get complimentary at a place like this. I chose not to review you even though having to dig out silverware from the trash can was not something I do with normal guests. I guess that was payback for not having more pods delivered to you.
The perfect home away from home! Beautiful property! Included all the things you need to have a great experience! The sweet owner gave us some special treats to help celebrate vday and anniversary! Even a treat for my pup!

Awe thank you so much for taking time to leave a review! It was your pup’s Valentine’s Day too lol. I am glad you guys enjoyed and I hope you come back again soon!
The property is gorgeous. Secluded with in-ground pool and waterfalls off the river! We rented cabin #2 which has a private hot tub. There’s a small game room/bar that is BYOB. An out door fire place gazebo as well! Located right on the river in the hills! The owners were exceptional! Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our stay and was even able to bring our fur babies. We enjoyed getting to do a little fishing, and watching an otter family while we ate breakfast. Great view. The kids enjoyed playing pool in the game room. Very easy communication with the owner and the property manager.

Thank you for your review! You are the second family that has loved watching the otter family at the river. I think they like showing out for guests because I haven’t seen them except from other peoples videos. Please come back and stay again!
My husband and I have stayed at numerous VRBO properties over the past 15+ years; both with and without children. This location was far and above top notch.
The cabin was immaculate. Truly. Adorable cottage. Seeing the level of detail indicated to us that the owners cared deeply for the experience of each family. From the details in the coffee bar, the amenities in the bathroom, the simplicity of directions for check-in and checkout, and the care taken with all property perks was outstanding.
We had a great time. Our boys (ages 8 and 9) had a great time. Running stream on property, lake, kayak available for use, a games lodge outfitted with a bar, pool table, video game, TV, pinball machine and more. Archery activity on site, basketball court, pool, outdoor fireplace, places to grill, laundry onsite. Not one thing I could think that would have made it more complete.
The hosts were wonderful, caring, considerate, and offered such hospitality.
We highly recommend as a one stop for getting away from it all.
The Main Street Area (with shops and food) and the fantastic Skillet Restaurant at the Ozark Folk Center State Park, both in nearby Mountain View, Arkansas, is worth checking out.
Thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Thank you again.

This place is beautiful. We went for our anniversary trip and we had an amazing time. You wake up to sunrises on the river with otters playing below and the evenings get a view of the trees lit up with lightning bugs all from your large screened in porch. This porch is even screened in on the bottom. We didn’t even see a spider in there. The cabin was cute and comfortable. It’s a bit remote so restaurants and Walmart are about a 25-30 drive but plenty of Dollar General’s in between. There’s a pond area a short walk away FULL of crappie and access to the river right beside the cabin. The shore area is muddy from the rise and fall of the river so bring your mud boots. There's not a shower in cabin 2 but there is a shower attachment on the claw foot tub and shower stalls a short walk away. About 30 minutes away is a place called Anglers that has guided trout fishing tours. Joe was amazing and knowledgeable not just about the fish but also about the river and its wildlife. This cabin really is perfectly placed to get beautiful views of the stars and the river without being too remote that you have to take a cooler to get groceries. The owners are all kind, fun and caring. You couldn’t ask for a better experience.
This property was beautiful.
At my own fault, I posted last minute, did not do a good look at area/details, or bring what we needed.
It is a dry county, so closest store in about 5 miles north of cave city for beer only. About 45 minute plus drive.
The one cabin did not have a shower, but the commons has a very nice one. I should had checked, as my grandma couldnt walk that far. Dee was great, and offered to use golf cart once she knew.
I would bring life jackets if going to canoe and plenty of crank bait, no where super close to get any for crappie. Worms has a grower in batesville by airport in a little shack for kids.
They are clearing up cove to trout fish off river, but my oldest kept getting snagged due to trees.
Batesville has a trout guide but have to plan in advance.
The cabin was immaculate, had everything we needed. Beds were clean and super cozy.
We ran to dollar general for small food necessity and ice past Marcella. Drive was beautiful and people were friendly.
Bring something in case of poisonous snakes (it is in Ozarks and to be expected) I just under prepared, and charcoal for grill.
Property is well mowed/maintained and safe.
Pool was spotless.
We will be definetly coming back.

Thank you for your review! Yes, I have that on the top of the list-buy your alcohol ahead of time because you will have to drive about an hour if you don't. We do provide one bag of ice at check in, and also sell ice there if needed, Dee probably did not know you needed any. We are working on clearing the river area you are talking about, but there is another clear spot further up on the property. I snag my line there sometimes too because of something in the river. I am glad you all had a great time!
About the host
Hosted by Dana Wallace
Hi and welcome to our vrbo site! My name is Dana Wallace, and I am from Texas. My husband and I fell in love with this Arkansas property and will one day retire to the main house and eventually add a lot of extras like having breakfast, lunch and dinner available. We are in the beginning stages of converting the old original cabin into a saloon offering nightly events. We have big plans for this property, so I hope you come along for the ride!
Why they chose this property
The area is so beautiful with mountains and rivers and creeks. It is so close to both Mountainview and Batesville (less than 20 miles) 2 hours from Memphis, and 2-1/2 hours to Branson. This really is the center point for great traveling fun!
What makes this property unique
Our property is unique because of the small number of cabin on the property and all the amenities and space you have. It is secluded for complete privacy but has luxuries of town rentals. Where else do you see a lake, pool, river, hot tub, lounge, garden, pavilion, and 7 acres to enjoy within tourist towns?
